Sam's POV

I had come back from the police station and found Dean was sitting at the big table in the main room with his computer open. He looked up at me as I made my way down the stairs and said, "What happened?"

As I started descending the stairs I wondered what he was asking me. Did he want to know about Y/N? Because I didn't want to talk to him about Y/N, and as I took the next couple of steps, I realised he wasn't asking about Y/N but the demon we were supposed to visit. I hadn't rang him as soon as we left the station, "Seems someone released him."

"What?" Dean snatched up his beer and took a mouthful of the drink.

"Yeah, I guess there's more demons than police now?" I had reached the bottom step and stepped over to the table.

"You know they will never find this place" Dean said sounding so sure of himself as he put the bottle on the table.

I sat down and met his eyes, "We can't be certain about that."

"What if they do? What are they ganna do? Storm the place?"

I frowned at him, "You don't think they will? Do you?"

Dean's phone vibrated and as he looked at the screen frowning, I knew I wasn't going to get an answer.

"Yeah?" his voice was gruff, and I wondered what happened while I was gone. I had left him here with Castiel and Crowley, but I wasn't taking either the angel, or the demon to the police station with us. I tuned out Dean's conversation as a thought of Y/N came to my mind. I believed now that she was feeling the same as I was and I wanted to spend more time with her, get to know her.

"Come one Sammy" Dean said, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Where?"

"Marcus needs our help."

Marcus Hastings was one of our fellow hunters and a good friend. He had helped us on a couple of occasions, but Marcus was a loner. He enjoyed hunting by himself.

Rushing back to the car I tossed Dean the keys as he got behind the wheel and I got into the passenger's side.

As soon as he started driving, I had a thought that I should ask him what happened when I left him with Crowley and Castiel, but he spoke first, "So, you manage to make the move yet?"

"What move?"

"On Y/N" he gave me a quick questioning look but turned back to the road again.

"No Dean" I frowned, "Why would you even suggest that?"

"Oh, come on Sammy. You want her, she wants you I don't see the problem."

I glared at him, "What do you mean she wants me? How could you possibly know that?"

"Because she's not interested in me" He joked, then let out a chuckle, "Seriously, anyone with eyes can see the way you are both looking at each other"

"You didn't think it was important to confirm this with me earlier?"

He huffed out a laugh, "Spoil my fun."

I shook my head and watched the scenery go by. Could Dean be right? Did Y/N like me, enough to maybe go out and see how things would go?

I had been deep in thought when Dean pulled the car to a stop and cut the engine.

We had arrived at the scene as quick as we could, but as I followed Dean into the warehouse, I realised we had taken longer than Marcus had had. The vampire was cradling the dead body of our hunter friend and sucking on his neck. There were two other vampires standing either side of the first, sucking blood from his wrists.
