Y/N's POV
I had gone into work the next day and before I was able to do anything I was summoned into the Captain's office. As I stepped over to the office door, I felt a few of the other officers watching me. I had felt more and more eyes upon me as I went about my daily task, so being watched wasn't new, it just seemed that there were so many more that were watching me every day. Was it possible that those who watched me were demons? If so, I then had to question if that meant there were more demons than people now? Was it because they couldn't possess me or was it my connection to Sam Winchester that had them watching my every move. Maybe there was something else that they knew, and we didn't?
As I stepped into the office, I met the eyes of Captain Tanner, and I had a brief moment where I wondered if he was possessed too? Was he bossing all the demon's around? Was he the leader? I shut the door and turned back as I saw that there was a man sitting in one of the chairs in front of the Captain's desk. He got to his feet, and I saw his eyes travel all over my body before meeting my glare.
"Y/N, meet Daniel Jefferson" the Captain stated and added, "Your new police partner."
Getting to his feet the man smiled widely and said, "Hello Detective. It is great to finally meet you" he held his right hand out to shake.
I stared into the blue eyes and felt my disbelief as I shook my head, "But Sir-"
"No arguments Y/N" Captain Tanner said, not looking up at me at all. "Detective Jefferson here is one of the best officers. You will share with him all your notes and things that you have on this case."
His smile was unnerving as I shook hands with Detective Jefferson, releasing his hand as quickly as I could before I looked back at the Captain, "I'm sorry Sir, what case? I am not currently working -"
"Catch him up with the crime scenes you have been to. Give him all the information on our two current suspects and if there are any new suspects."
He looked up at me and I knew who was talking about. He was saying I needed to give him any information I had on the Winchesters. That wasn't going to happen.
"I look forward to working with you Y/N" Detective Jefferson said, and I felt my stomach churn at the thought of working alongside him.
I knew I wasn't going to change the Captain's mind, so I just turned and walked out of the office and back to my desk. As I sat down I noticed Detective Jefferson had followed me out and stood beside my desk, still wearing that annoying, unnerving smile. We stared at each other for a minutes before he spoke, not even losing the smile, "Got a desk for me?"
I pointed to the desk that was butted up against my own. It had been Thomas's desk, but he changed desks when he changed partners. The case they had been working on at the time needed the two Officers to work closely. Thomas hadn't wanted to move, but it was necessary.
Detective Jefferson walked over to the chair and sat down, "So tell me about the two guys you have as suspects."
I frowned at him, unsure of what he was talking about, "I'm sorry, but there are no suspects."
"None at all?" He gave me a frown that looked playful.
"Not unless you believe in the supernatural" I didn't turn away from him as I studied his face to see his reaction.
Giving me that smile once again he said, "The supernatural?"
"Yeah, like vampires and demons"
His eyes searched my soul and then he chuckled wickedly once again, "I thought you had two suspects you were looking for?"
