Sam's POV
I walked with Dean into the old abandoned high school as I scanned the surrounding street to ensure that nobody saw us going in. We had heard that there were several disappearances here and we thought that maybe it was to do with the supernatural. Upon questioning the locals and scanning a few newspaper articles I found that there had been several murders over the years and Dean, and I had finally narrowed it down to a disgruntled cleaner by the name of Jamieson Miller, who had been angry that he hadn't been given the proper thank you and a pay rise. His life was hell and he wanted someone to pay. He had come into the school and although he shot a few people before, no innocent lives were taken, but the police shot him down. It was death by cop, and we were sure that his spirit hadn't managed to move on.
The walls were still lined with the many lockers and some old papers were still scattered throughout the hallway, some stuck up on the walls, others blowing around on the ground as we opened the door and allowed the wind in. Glancing in through the window framed doors every time I passed one, I noticed that there were still some desks and books scattered around, it was a though the students and teachers had just rushed out of the building and never came back.
The school hadn't been abandoned that long, but the ghost had caused enough issues to scare the students and faculty to leave and never look back. Suddenly a noise came from around the corner just up ahead and I glanced over at Dean who was looking at me, our silent conversation was that we both noted we had heard the same sound.
We moved together slowly, towards the sound, which had just been brief, but the feeling that something was there was so clear as we drew closer to the corner where the corridor would no doubt continue on.
Dean stopped at the corner, but I was across the other side of the hallway, so I moved out wide and aimed my shotgun down the corridor. I noticed the figure as she turned around, put her hands up and said, "Jesus Sam. Way to frighten someone."
Dean looked over at me then rushed around the corner, taking in the woman standing there before us.
I stepped towards her as I aimed my shotgun to the ground, away from her as the frown crossed my face, "Sarah?"
Dean sounded as angry as I felt, "What the Hell are you doing here?"
Sarah smiled at us both, "I heard about the ghost, and I thought it would be way easier to kill than demons, so I came to check it out."
Dean shook his head and turned to walk away, I knew this move, it was his, 'I've had enough of this crap' move, but I stared into Sarah's eyes and said, "You have to get out of here, right now."
"No" Sarah said defiantly, "I will not. I want to be a hunter like you."
Dean was beside me quickly as he gruffly stated, "Oh, yeah, because that is defiantly what your old man would have wanted for you."
"You can't stop me."
Dean turned and met my eyes, "Do you hear this? She's going to get herself killed. Her old man's ganna come back for revenge."
I rolled my eyes at Dean's drama and met Sarah's eyes, "You don't want to be a hunter, Sarah. It's not the life you want."
"Definitely not what your father would have in mind for you." Dean snapped as we heard the main doors close around the corner where we had just come from.
"Sam? Dean?" I heard Y/N's voice and turned to see her coming down the hallway, "What are you two doing here?" she asked.
"Oh, great." Dean snapped as he shook his head and walked away a little, starting to pace around the hallway.
