#12 - Karishma Ka Guilt

(Episode 176) This short is an extension of the scene where Karishma was slapping Haseena Malik to keep her awake. The poison would have spread more rapidly if she had fallen asleep/unconscious.

Haseena was advised to take rest for a week before joining back to duty. Though the poison had not taken her life, there was certain damage that needed healing with rest. So Haseena was at home resting while Karishma was acting like a machine. She would walk into the police station and do her duty without any time pass. She wasn't fighting with Pushpa Ji, nor scolding Cheeta for being lovesick or using her muka or laat.

Everyone was worried about her; they tried to talk to her, but she was avoiding the topic. But today she couldn't, as she was summoned by Haseena at her house after duty hours.

Pushpa Ji had spoken with Madam Sir to find out if she knew why Karishma was behaving the way she was. Haseena didn't know the actual reason, or we can say she didn't have confirmation.

Karishma was in two minds to go or not. However, the respectful junior that she is, she did go to Haseena's house. But the guilt in her was not letting her ring the bell. Haseena, who was about to go for a small walk after her dinner, came to the door to find Karishma standing there talking to herself.

Karishma had her back towards the door, so she wasn't aware of Haseena's presence. "Kaa karen hum... yahan madam sir ne bulaya toh yahana tak toh aa gaye hum. Unki baat bhi nahi tal sakte hum. Itna mante jo hai hum unko. Par kaise aapna cheera dikhaye hum unko. Kaise... kaise utha sakte the hum unpe haath. Kaa soch rahi hongi vo humare baare mein. Kaise topa hain hum jo aapne senior pe haath utha dete hain. Na matlab hum jaisa chura koi nahi hoga."

Haseena smiled at her cute self-chiding. For sure, Karishma Singh is famous for her bhokal. However, Haseena found her a cute little girl at times and an angry bird at others. Whatever version Karishma Singh picks for herself, her Madam Sir loves and adores it.

Karishma Singh is the kind of police officer that this country needs. And her passion for her duty is unmatched. Anyway, she shook her head from self-wonderment. "Sahi kaha aapne Karishma Singh, topa toh hain aap."

Lag Gai.......

"Madam Sir aap... vo hum to bus aise hai... aur ye aap kahan ja rahi hain. Na matlab doctor ne araam karne bola hain na, aap kaa bawal machane ja rahi hain" Karishma asked, all worried about health.

"Relax Karishma Singh hum bus walk ke liye ja rahe the yahan pass tak. Itni din se toh aapne aur ammi ne humein house arrest hi kar diya hai." Haseena complained cutely to get some concessions. however, it didn't work.
