#18 - Broken Haseena (Engagement Episode)

(Episode 269) The one where Anubhav left the engagement and ran away leaving awaiting Haseena behind.

"Vo Sab kuch chod kar chale gaye hain. Is sehar ko, aapko, hum sab ko chod kar hamesha ke liya chale gaye hain. Ab vo kabhi wapas nahi aayenge." Karishma informed Haseena Shocking her.

Haseena was too numb to move even the smallest limb in her body, but when her ammi called out Karishma's name Haseena was brought back to reality. She doesn't care about herself at the moment, and her mother is her priority.

After losing her father in the hands of the nation she had her mother to live for. She had seen her mother fall weak with time and so did her heart. Her ammi has been a heart patient and she never wants to give any major news to her ammi which might break her from which there won't be any comeback. But fate has its way, and her ammi heard what Karishma had to say about Anubhav a minute back.

She as a reflex moved towards her trying to calm her down with a numb heart. She took her mother and made her sit talking to her, telling her that it was okay for her, that she was okay, that everything was fine. But a mother knew her child's Hollow words. As she was doing that Pushpa Ji took the stage and asked the guest to have dinner before leaving.

"Rukiye Pushpa Ji." Haseena stood up. "Aap sab yahan aaye uske liya dhaniyawad par jaise ammi kehti hain, mumarak mauke se kabhi khali haath nahi jaate. Is liya humari na sahi toh kya hua, Nandani Ki Sagai toh ho sakti hain na. Aab toh Nandani ke ghar wale bhi taiyar hain."

Taking a pause Haseena called out Santu "Santosh Sharma, please rings Nandani Ko de dijiye."

Santu looked at Karishma and Pushpa Ji to know if she should do what their Maddam Sir said or not. Seeing Karishma Nodding her head positively, she took the rings from the table and gave them.

All this while Haseena's mother was looking at Haseena trying to read her daughter's hidden emotions. Wanting her daughter to share her sorrow, to share her grief, to let out a cry, not to bottle up her emotions. She was her ammi, Noor Jahan Malik. The lady who survived her husband's death, who lived only for her daughter. She might be a heart patient but it's a mother's heart we are talking about. A mother can stand rock solid with her daughter no matter the circumstances.

Once the Engagement was done leaving everyone behind Haseena quietly left the place. She kept walking with a blank mind and a very heavy heart.

Seeing her Ammi was ready to follow her lead but Karishma stopped her.

"Humein Jane de Karishma. Hamari bachi ko hamari jarurat hain. Dekh na Kaise tut gai hai hamari bachi. Apna gum hum se chupake, bina kuch bole aise hi chali gai hain. Humein jaane do Karishma." Ammi begged her.

"Ammi aap please shant ho jaiye. Dekhiye itna stress aapke liya acha nahi hai. Hum hai na, hum jayenge Maddam Sir ke pass, Aap kahe load le rahi hain. Hamare hote hua Maddam Sir ko kuch nahi hoga. Aap please shant ho jaiye nahi toh aapka tabiyat bigda toh bataiye aap kaise baat karengi Maddam sir se. Pehle aap araam ki jiye tab tak hum dekhte hain Maddam Sir ko, unk bahut ache se khayal rakhenge. Phir aap Kal subha aram se baat kar lena aapni beti se." Karishma spoke holding Ammi with care.
