Mina's POV

"Th-this is?! A half million price, emerald ring! How could you afford something like this, Mina?" My grandpa grabbed his small magnifying glass, zooming it to the original gem on the ring.

"I couldn't afford it. Someone bought it for me," I sat, silently and melancholy.

"That's probably because you're a talented circus performer! Your fans would want to buy you stuffs but this one is a big too much though," He said.

No, all of my fans probably hate me now. I got mistreated earlier in the pawnshop. It's most likely that the other stores will do the same to me too. I'm a disgrace and shameful. People seeing a failure walking around the town, of course they can't stand a repulsive sight like that.

Even my parents sighed regretfully whenever they look at me.

I need to be perfect. I had to. For the people and my family.

"Mom likes that ring, right?" I asked.

My grandpa turned to me with a concerned face. "Mina, you need to stop impressing people who won't value your worth,"

He's right... why am I so eager for? Why am I trying my best to imoress people who don't see my value?

Have you actually become really dumb, me?

You failed me, on purpose!

You useless piece of shit.

I hate you.

Text from Dahyun:
Hey, Mina. How are you? Come meet us, we are hanging out. I'll send you an address.

I blinked in surprised when I receieved a text. "Grandpa, please give me my emerald ring,"

"Are you seriously giving it to your Mom?" He passed the ring to me.

"No, I'm going to meet with my friends. I'll be back by tonight." I informed him while I get ready and prepare my stuffs.

"My bag?!" I don't have it! I have my phone with me because it's in my pocket, but my bag?!

When? Did I lost it? I don't remember, I was so distracted by my negative thoughts that I have forgotten my belongings.

Could it be...? Y/n? No... forget about that miss richalicious.

"Old fart! Did you see me with a bag when I got home?" I asked.

"No, I don't see you carry anything with you. Just the ring," He answered.

I rushed to my room upstairs and find my make up and my second bag. "Whatever, I still have plenty of stuffs with me-"

Just as I entered my room, I saw my bag on the nightstand. I sighed in relief, "Oh thank goodness..." I fetch it and checked my belongings inside.

That's weird... Part of me does remember I left it somewhere else but it's right over here. If someone found it and return it to me, how do they know where I live? And they sneaked in too.

"Huh?" I found a note inside my bag and I opened to read it out.

"Think twice before leaving. You left your bag in my car. If you want to thank me, here is my number. Don't leave your belongings unattendedly now," She did put her contact number under the notes.

"Grr.. you think you're so hot, huh?!" I growl and crumpled the note in my hand.

I stormed out of the house to meet with my friend, Kim Dahyun.

I don't care about people staring at me now. I have friends who supports me, that's right, fuck them. There are people who loves me exist.

I've known my friends for a long time since we were college. They're all pretty supportive to me, especially Dahyun. They are my home, second to my grandfather. They also knew I have family problems and I shared them all secrets about it.

"What the fuck is Mina doing here?"
