Chapter 15

Y/n's POV

Mr. Hare had been shot through the mouth.

As I arrived at the scene, my subordinates were already crowded around the crime scene. I squeezed through as they made way for me.

"It's Akizuki's clan doing." Chan mumbled.

The Akizuki clan is our fiercest rival among Yakuza factions. Our relationship has always been hostile because the godfather of the Akizuki clan deeply resents my Dad for his involvement in illegal activities. There's a lengthy history of violence, gun battles, and vendettas between our clans. They are notoriously dangerous and are committed to wiping us out entirely.

I glanced around and noticed letters on the wall, written in Mr. Hare's blood. "Mind your own business. You know what happens if you keep looking for me. Stop searching for me."

"Dad?"

"What does this mean, boss? Has he betrayed us?" Chan turned to me.

No, my Father isn't capable of betrayal. He's a man of his word, always striving to lead us forward.

But how did the Akizuki clan find us? We took every precaution to keep Mr. Hare hidden and guarded. They must have killed him to erase any trace of my father.

Well.

It can't be help.

"Dispose of him," I commanded. "He's of no use anymore."

My associates obeyed, lifting Mr. Hare's lifeless body. As they did, the torn back of his shirt revealed a signature of the Akizuki clan, carved into his skin like a tattoo with a knife.

"My lord!" Sana arrived in a flurry. "Are you alright? What happened?!"

I sighed. "It's them," I hinted to her, and she was surprised to see Mr. Hare's lifeless body being carried out for disposal.

"Then, does the Akizuki clan know where your Father is?"

"That's possible," I replied, handing my pistol to Sand. "He was found dead at midnight?" I asked Chan.

"Yeah, I was informed by one of our associates," Chan muttered.

I paused, then asked, "Who was in charge last night?" Two associates trembled in fear.

"M-my lord! I swear we were doing as you instructed!" "We don't know anything, my lord!! We swear!" "P-please don't kill us!!"

Sana and Chan pointed their guns at their heads. Without warning, they both immediately cocked their guns and shot their brain under my command.

"Were they informants, Yeji?" I asked, turning to Yeji, my secret subordinate skilled in catching traitors.

"No, they just were just slacking off during their duty. How disgraceful, they deserve to die. " she explained, though she's got knacks of throwing harsh words at people she thinks are inferior to her.

Father... you're not dead, are you?

You told me I wasn't ready to become a tough leader like you... and that I will never be like you.
