Mina's Pov

Earlier, there was some sort of conflict that made me decide to be perfect again. It was my friends. Earlier before I went to the circus, I confronted my friends.

But I didn't get it.

"Mina?" "What is she doing here?" "I don't remember including her in our meet ups." "Damn it, who told her where we are?"

Even my friends don't look at me the same. As soon as I've arrived at the destination Dahyun gave, I saw then exchanging glanced with a big smile but as I joined them in, their smile disappeared. Their eyes are similar... of those who despises to be around with a failure.

"Hey, Mina is still trying her best. She needs someone that's all. We are friends!" Dahyun steps in, but it was still pointless.

"Tch, you're the one who told Mina where we are?" My friend told me, clicking their tongues in disappointment.

"This isn't funny anymore, thanks for ruining our mood by inviting Mina here, Dahyun. We don't have a failure friend like her,"

"Let's just hurry and finish our drink so we can get out of here,"

"W-wait..." I begged them to listen to me and they simultaneously halted. "What's wrong guys?... we just hang out the other day.. we just shared our laughters and happiness.. You guys were my bestfriends in college.." I mumbled, my heart slowly in form of breaking in half.

"Can't you see, Mina? You're embarassing to be with!" One explained. I was shocked.

"How could you fail that performance? You know better than that! We are so disappointed in you! We can't have you be with us anymore, it'll only look bad to ourself. People will see us, just piss off...!"

Ah, I see.

I get it.

I only matter to them because I'm talented and I accomplished successful things.

They hung with me because I am special, to only make themselves look good.

I guess failure isn't allowed to live anymore.

"That's too far!" Dahyun defended me, but I dash off in a flash. "Wait! Mina-"

That one guy who told harsh things to Mina cussed and sat, angrily sipping his drink. "Damn it."

"Do you really know the situation we're in, Dahyun?" The girl says, her eyes terrified and glancing at each of them, they all shared the same expression.

"Guys... this is too much, don't you think?" Dahyun tells.

"Don't involved us in. Go talk to her if you want, leave us out of it please."

And so, Dahyun did ran after me. Her voice screaming and I continued moving forward. But she catch up to me, grabbing my upper limbs but I pushed her off.

"Why did you have to bring me there?! You know they don't need me, yet you... you invited me over just to hear what they said? Is that it?" I yell at Dahyun.

"I'm sorry.. but that's not my intention at all Mina. I was just hoping they'll act like it didn't happen." Dahyun said.

"What?!"

Dahyun clenches, "Trust me, Mina. They don't hate you and they didn't mean what they say. That's all you gotta believe in for now. I'm still on your side,"

"Forget it..." I'm tired. I couldn't breathe. Breathing feels hurt in my throat and my chest tightens, as if it's going to crash down.

"I'm really sorry, Mina..." Dahyun bows regretfully.

And that's how I made it to the circus to talk it out with my ringmaster again, but it didn't turn out great.

No one is giving me a chance to change.

It took me sluggish steps to arrived home and I went straight to my room, ignoring my grandpa who was concerned about me.

"Mina? What happened to you?" He asked.

"Please leave me alone," I mumbled.

Grandpa was worried, but he knew I needed to time to isolate and blocked the world. He always allows me to stay in the room and rest for as long as I want, that he will always provide me food every meal at my door.

"I'll cook your favorite food tonight," He said and I closed the door, immedaitely jumping to my bed and bawl my eyes out.

Just then, there was a knock on the main door and Grandpa went to get it. "Who is it-" His eyes widened, he couldn't believe who he saw.

"Forgive us for intruding, we need a word from you... Father," It was my Mom at the door, with an eerie expression and her intimidating presence.

"I'd like to know how our daughter is doing." Her smile was angelic, but my grandpa knew she was not that of an angel.
