CHAPTER FIVEThree Weeks Later
"K!" Lex exclaimed as soon as she spotted Kayla entering Kay's party. The party was to celebrate the release of his first body of work.
Lex caught Kay's attention and they both made their way over to the door to greet Kayla.
"I missed you," Lex drew out before wrapping her arms around Kayla.
"Why you always touching me?" Kayla asked as she gently pushed the girl away from her. She wasn't high so her tolerance for Lex was low at the moment.
As the weeks passed, Lex came around more everyone frequently. Kayla was still mostly indifferent towards Lex while Lex was still trying to win Kayla over. Kayla had seen certain things from that made her raise an eyebrow but nothing too extreme.
Kayla looked at Kay with an eyebrow raised. "What's up with her?" She asked him as they both side-eyed Lex. "Anyway, congrats on the EP, nigga. That shit is fire," Kayla said as she dapped up Kay.
"You really fuck with it? Thank you, Mud. You know I couldn't do none of this shit without you and the rest of the guys."
Lex interrupted, feeling slighted by Kayla. "You really bout to ignore me after I said I missed you? Wow. You ain't miss me?"
Kayla was taken aback. "Why would I? I just saw you the other day and I dead don't even know you like that."
"What's good with you? You get drunk and start being mad friendly. Chill out," Kay said as he glared at his girlfriend.
"How am I being friendly? I was just saying hi to KayKay."
"I'm not KayKay," Kayla corrected her before walking off.
The couple continued bickering as Kayla went on to say hello to the rest of her friends who were at the party.
"Look at you. Drunk ass...Spilling shit all over the place. You ain't drinking shit else so don't even ask," Kay said before following after Kayla.
"Give me my cup back! I'm not even drunk!" Lex yelled.

"Guess who's here, Lil Kay?" Dougie snickered.
"Who?" Kayla asked.
"Your bitch."
"Bro, what the fuck are you talking about? You bout to get me tight. Stop playing with me."
"Destiny's here. Her and Lex are actually cool," Kay spoke.
"You really some dayroom ass niggas. If y'all would've told me she was here, I would've stayed the fuck at home. I'm out."
"Why you doing that? You just got here," Setty said.
"And?" Kayla said as she pulled her hoodie onto her head.
Kay pulled her hood back off. "And you're not leaving. I barely even see you anymore."
"What are you talking about? You see me damn near every day."
"On some work shit. We ain't hung out in a minute," he said, making Kayla suck her teeth.
She couldn't say it wasn't true though. Makayla had been spending less time with him because of her feelings. They were still very present and she thought it was weird to keep hanging around him and his girlfriend knowing that she had feelings for him. But she messed up thinking the way she was avoiding him was going unnoticed.
