-• not love •-

Abhay Menon despises women in positions of power as much as he loves them in his bed. That's where they serve their purpose better, underneath a man. It hadn't been a week since this woman took over the role of vice chairperson and she was already ordering people around in his school. The board members always trusted him with his decisions. He never had anyone meddling and questioning him. All it took was a woman to warm the King of Jaigarh's bed to change that. He cannot even blame the man. He still remembers how Avani felt, her sister will only be better. She already looks like a nymph, so untouchable.

The first day, he was paranoid, but then, she's just a woman. Madhav and Shivam had softened over the years, one had become a dedicated father, the other was busy obsessing behind someone else's wife. Not him. Abhay is still nefarious for his ways among his group. He'll take this woman down, beneath him first, and then underground next, tossing the mud over all his sins and burying them forever.

He needs to wait for the right time.

The right time.

Until then, he's going to entertain this woman and her antics.

"We're halfway into the year, Ms. Rajawat, it's already the end of the semester. I understand your desperation to be involved in school management, but this is not the way. We can't be jeopardizing our students' future because the new chairperson wants to bring some changes in the academics."

Sara nods, "I understand. That's not what this meeting-"

"Yeah, I saw the mail. You summoned a meeting to make amendments necessary to create a less stressful environment for senior students."

"That's right. And for that-"

"You'll suggest cutting classes, adding recreational activities, and one-day trips?" He scoffs. "A word of advice Ms. Rajawat, I've been in this field for 20 years now. That's a waste of time, resources and students' potential. If that's all, should we adjourn the meeting now?" He looks around at the school staff.

Sara clenches her jaw.

The air in the room shifts.

"Alright, let's go," he gets up from the chair.

"Sit down, Mr. Menon, I'm not done yet." Sara commands.

Exhaling an exasperated breath, Abhay plops back down in his seat, expressing his annoyance through his eyes as he glances towards his secretary. Manish drops his gaze to his lap, twiddling with his fingers nervously. His superior is not used to being bossed around, especially by a woman. He can just envision the rest of his career in the education industry becoming a challenge.

"As I was saying before Mr. Menon interrupted me, I do have a few ideas that I'd like to suggest in this meeting. Of course, they'll only be implemented if I have a majority on my side."

"These teachers are already bombarded with their duties, Ms. Rajawat, they're never going to willingly accept more workload."

"I never said anything about them being the majority. I meant the students." She emphasizes. "And the teachers can be at ease," her gaze darts across the multiple faces, "you won't be burdened with any more responsibilities. I'd appreciate volunteers, but that's again, your choice. This is something I wish to do for children and I've already made necessary arrangements."

"If you're hoping to use school funds then I'm sorry, but that's not possible. We're already cutting around the edges." Manish pipes in.

Abhay nods in support of the statement.
