Chapter 8: Crush

You know I cannot sleep since I gave that post it to Miss. Ceo.

Maybe you are wondering why I kept calling her Miss. Ceo. I'll explain it to you.
First: Miss. Kim is kind of feel authoritative and makes me feel scared.
Second: Miss. Jisoo is too informal.
So I chose Miss. Ceo it is concise and easy to pronounce. Back to the issue at hand.
I don't really know what came up to me to write that note. It has been 3 days.

I went out to the living room to distract myself and luckily Scar is sitting on the couch watching TV. I throw myself at the couch surprising Scar at my action. I cling to her right arm and lay my head on her shoulder.
"Scar..."

"What"

" I can't sleep"

"Why?" She is still watching Tv while answering me.

I explain to her what has happened 3 days ago.

She looks at me looking like she is analyzing something.

"So to sum it up you can't sleep because you have a longtime crush to your boss and you made your move 3 days ago and you can't accept that you made a move and you are just now realizing you have a crush on your boss."

"Me? What? I have a crush on my boss? How? When?"

"Maybe you really are attracted to her but it is mask because you are afraid of her and afraid for your job. Then when you became slightly comfortable with her presence your fear turned into appreciation or crush. "

I saw Scar in a new light. She's like a resident councilor/love advisor.
"You really think I have a crush on her?"

She looks at me "I don't think Jennie I know so."

Thinking about all the things I 've done for the past 9 months Scar is somewhat right. For the past 9mos I am doing my best to avoid her. Every time she makes an inspection I went to the bathroom or just conveniently deliver on other floors when she is on my floor.

This past 3 months is a game changer because for the 5 min interaction we did everyday I can see that behind her stoic mask that she present everyday there is another person behind that mask. I don't know if it is just me but when she sees me she always looks amused but I can only see it in her eyes.

Her eyes. Those eyes of her are deadly.
I avoid looking at her eyes because I might get stuck in and never come back.

Thank goodness she is on a business trip and will be back on monday. It is friday today. I have two more days to prepare myself. I can do this. It's just a crush. No big deal. It will go away.

I am wrong. So fudging wrong.

Even Han and Minho are asking me what is wrong because according to them I look like a worm that is thrown with salt because of how restless I am. I cannot concentrate the whole day.

I told them I am okay. Everything is fine. I just need to go up to Olympus to deliver some files. It is already 5pm and I really intend to deliver this files after work so there is a lesser chance that I'll meet her.

Because of the nerves I cannot eat. I might throw up if I tried to eat. I press the elevator button and wait for the car to arrive.

Teddy already gave me the passcode which is 3825968 and he told me never to tell anyone the passcode. As if. I can barely memorize those numbers.

I arrive at the Olympus and of course there is no one on this floor because it is 5:10pm already.

I hurried my way to the granite desk when suddenly the glass wall became transparent. I froze on my spot and Miss. Ceo is looking directly at me.

The door in her office opened and that is a silent command from him that I should enter her office. I grudgingly entered her room.

Stopping in front of her desk I greet her.
"Good afternoon mam."

"Good afternoon. Why are you running?"

She asked me.
" Me? Running? No I 'm not"

She's just looking at me and she gave me her I-don't-believe-you-look.

So I fess up.
" Fine. You're right. I was running because I thought no one was on this. floor since its past 5pm."

She is still just looking at me.
"It's the truth's promise!"

"I did not say anything Jennie why are you being defensive."

"Because you are still looking at me."

"Is it wrong to look at you?"

"No but it is making me uncomfortable"

"Why?" She rebutted

"I don't know it just is"

"Why are you blushing then?"

"No I am not blushing it's just hot in here!"

" You are being defensive again."

"My gosh what is wrong with you?!"
To ruin the moment my stomach made a sound that I never imagined exist.

"That's what is wrong. When is the last time you eat Jennie and stop lying."
She scolded me firmly.

"Uhm..8am"
And all Hell breaks loose.

"What the fuck?! 8am??"
She looks at her rolex and scolds me some more

I should have told her 3pm. Jennie why so stupid??

"That's almost 10 hours ago! Are you not oriented that taking a lunch break is mandatory in this company?"

"I know but I am not in a mood to eat because I am restless the whole day."

"It's not even a valid excuse. I told you didn't I, that if you have a problem don't hesitate to tell me?"

I want to shout to her that het very existence is my problem.
But I cannot do that. So I just kept quiet.

"I am sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?"

"Because I broke one of your rules." I just bow my head afraid of what she will do. Can I be fired because I forgot to take my lunch?

"I apologize because I raise my voice. But really Jennie that is a stupid decision to not eat. What if you get sick?"

"I heard we have excellent health insurance so I can just avail it!" I joked to lighten the mood but it had the opposite effect. So I just shut up again.

She dialed something in her phone and put it in her ear.

"Sit down on the couch now."
I just follow her command to not trigger her temper further.

"What do you want to eat?" She asked me while calling someone on her phone.

Of course I did not say that. I don't want to go to jail for harassment.
"I don't know"

"Do you like sushi?"

"What is sushi?"

She did not answer me but I heard the words sushi, maki, sashimi, tonkatsu.
Whatever that means. Then I realized something.

"Are you ordering food?? It's not necessary! I'll just eat at home!"

She just glares at me.
Ok just what I said a while ago I'll just shut up.

Since she is ordering food maybe coke, fries and nuggets are available.
"Mam?"

"Yes? Do you want something?"

"If you don't mind maybe there are fries, coke and chicken nuggets on the fast food delivery you are talking with. I want those. I'll just pay for my half."

And again I think I did say something she doesn't like cause her mood darkens again.

"You want fries, coke and nuggets?"

I nodded.

"Okay. No problem."

She tells someone on the phone my additional orders and drops the call.

She stands from her desk chair. She unbuttons her suit jacket and sits beside
me on the couch.

"The food will be here in 10mins"

"That fast?"

"Yes. And you need to eat as soon as possible. You will eat all of the things I ordered."

"okay"

You know what?
My main goal is to just place the files on the desk of her secretary and go home but why am I in a situation right now wherein I am sitting so close beside her and apparently will be sharing a meal in her office?

My plan is simple but it backfired big time. Anyone who is in my situation will be ecstatic because they are sitting beside their crush but for me I just want the ground to swallow me up whole.
