Bonus Chapter 5

ELLA'S POV
Age:18y/o

I am roaming around Columbia because my class was cancelled and I don't want to go home. I am now a 2nd year pre-law student. So far my subjects are really easy.

Just like my big sister I finish high school one year early. Good thing my siblings and I inherited our parents intelligence. Don't get me wrong I study properly like any other students out there. I am just blessed that I can understand concepts really well.

As I am mindlessly walking around a girl captures my attention. She was sitting alone on the grass and reading a book. She was surrounded by group of students fooling around and she is just there leaning on a tree, Isolated from other people. I don't know what but my feet unconsciously walks in her direction.

Her breath hitched when she saw me standing in front of her. I remove my sunglasses and glance at the cover of the book that she was reading. I am wrong she was reading Archie Comics.

"Can I sit beside you?" I ask.

She is still staring wide eyed at me. Her mouth was gaping. I interpret that as confirmation so I thank her quietly. I sat beside her and leaned my head on the trunk of the tree behind us.

"So what is your name?"

I stare at her mesmerizing green eyes covered with crooked black eye glasses. Her blonde hair is messily styled like she just woke up. She is lean but I know she is taller than my 5'7 height.

"Hw....Hwang Ye-ji." She murmured but I still heard it.
"Yeji? Did I hear you right?" What a unique name.

She nodded slightly. Pinkish, hue dominates her cheeks.
Aww so cute!

"Hi yeji I am Ella. Nice to meet you!"

I offer my hand and she shyly shakes my hand. Surprisingly her handshake is firm and not sloppy.

"I know." She said.

"Know what?" I ask.

"I mean everyone knows you." She clarified then she proceeded to roam her
eyes around us.

I scan the crowd and some of the students are discretely looking at us. When they see that I am glaring at them they go back to what they are previously doing. Nosy cowards.

I looked back at yeji and said
"Well everyone knows me I guess but they don't really know me. Does that makes sense to you?"

Her stare makes my heart skip. Damn those eyes. She nodded. I smiled at her and said "Well yeji this might be too forward but can you be my friend?"

She is clearly stunned by my request which is understandable since I really doesn't mingle with other people unless it is necessary. Yeji said something but I did not hear it properly.

"I am sorry what did you say?"

"I said sure friends." I grin.

She is my friend now. I cheered mentally. For now.

After a while we stand up and I am correct she is way taller than me
maybe 6'2 or 6'. We walk towards the Parking lot since we don't have any
classes already and it is the weekend tomorrow.

"Wait what is your course?" I ask.

"Pre-med. I want to be a Cardiologist."

Wow. Smart too.
We reach the Parking lot and immediately the MIB's are beside me.
Yeji was spooked when they soundly appeared at my side. I hand one of them my small bag and continue to walk with Yeji. We stopped in front of many parked bikes. Wait she is using a bike for
transportation?

I saw her dislodging an old Rickety bike from a chain. My God if I am a thief I'll not even take a second glance at her bike. Seriously it is that old. As she successfully removed the unnecessary chain from her bike I offered to give her and her World War 1 veteran bike a lift.

"No it is okay." She replied. That will not do.

"No I insist. What kind of a friend am I if I don't offer you a lift? And your place is on our way." In my peripheral vision both of the MIB discretely shakes their head in unison. Oh it is out of our way.

Yeji looked at me and switched her glance at the 2 MIB standing behind me. she sighed and nodded. "Yehey! Come on!"

I grabbed her hand which made her freeze. I ignored it since she'll get used to it later on. One of the MIBs got her old Bike. We walk towards my White Range Rover. She unexpectedly opened the door for me. 1 major points for Yeji!

I thank her and and go inside. She sat beside me and she shyly told the driver where we will drop her off.

Her place is 25 minutes away from the school by car. So it means it took her almost an hour just to reach the school using her old bike. Her apartment is near the soup kitchen and night shelter that my family build. Before she goes I ask for her number but she doesn't have a phone. This is not acceptable. I need to do something. Since I learned that we have the same morning classes I decided to pick her up also tomorrow.

"I'll be here at 7am so be ready Yeji. Bye!"

She tried to protest but I already closed the door. I went home with a ghost of smile on my face. My boring day turned out to be much more interesting than I thought.

I arrive at the house and the grandson of Grandpa Alfred is the one welcoming me. Albert is his name but mommy calls him Alfred. Mom is really bad at long names.

"Welcome back Miss Ella."

"Thank you Albert. Is Mama home?" I ask.

"Yes she's with your mom at the pool area."

I thank him and skip towards the pool area.

Even after 28 years of marriage not including the 5 years they are in a
relationship my Parents are still so in love with each other.

They still look young and strong for their age. Mama has a few unnoticed white hair which she said appeared because of Gabriela my third older sister.

Mom was sitting beside mama and her feet were on top of her lap. I can hear mama convincing mommy that jumping from the spring board is dangerous for her.

"I am home!"

Both of my parents looks at my direction and smiled at me. "Hi Princess!" I kiss both of their cheeks and hug them.

"Did you have a good day baby?" Mommy ask.

I grin at her and said."I can say it is an interesting day mommy."

I catch mama staring at me but I grin at her.

"Get ready for dinner princess." Mama said. I nodded and went up to my room.

I change out of my dress and wear my silk shorts and top. I went down at exactly 7pm skipping down the stairs. I am the only one using these stairs the rest of my family can not be bothered. I kiss and hug my sisters and brother starting from Grey up to Jamila.

They are all professionals now. Grey is in charge of our corporation, Parker is a doctor, Gabriela is an IT and Chemist. Yes she did not move on from her fascination from bombs and explosive devices. Jamila is an engineer but working for our Company.

My parents arrive and sat down to their seats. Grey said some grace and we starts to eat.

"Mama." Mama looks up while serving mom another piece of steak.

"I met someone and I intend her to be my girlfriend at the end of the year." Which is exactly 6 months from now.

All the cutleries simultaneously fall to their plates from my mama and sisters and brother hands.

All of them except my mommy who is still trying to cut her steak are scowling and have a serious expression on their faces.
