Epilogue

Three years later

"Daddy!" Nalani yelled worriedly as she ran up to Kai, who was fighting with his and Lucy's son Mako. "Mama crying! Said her tummy hurts!" The four year old was almost in tears herself.

Kate was eight months pregnant with their third child. Their second child, a little boy they had named Noah after her brother. He was currently at Jane's house, having wanted to spend time with his favorite aunt.

Kai looked up from the little boy in his arms. "What?" He asked his daughter.

"Mama is in bed, crying! Her tummy hurts really really bad!" Nalani yelled, tears filling her eyes.

Kai placed Mako down on his feet and rushed to Kate's bedroom.

The blonde was curled up on her side, her arms wrapped around her stomach. She had tears streaming down her cheeks as she tried to fight through the pain.

"Kate." Kai dropped down gently onto the bed beside her. "Talk to me."

"It's too early." Kate breathed out, tears rolling down her cheeks as she looked up at him.

"It's okay, don't panic." Kai said softly, reaching to pull his phone from his back pocket. "I'm going to call an ambulance."

Kate swallowed thickly, she knew Lucy was spending time with Ernie for the day. Having just had her second baby, a little girl, Malia. "Lucy, you need to call Lucy and Jane." She breathed out.

"I'll call them when we are on the way to the hospital." Kai said in a calm voice but he was freaking out on the inside.

Kate shook her head. "Someone needs to be with the kids." She breathed out.

"I'll call Jesse." Kai said, putting the phone to his ear as it rang.

Nodding her head, Kate bit back a groan of pain.

Kai spoke to the person on the phone for a while before ending the call and calling Jesse.

"Shit." Kate breathed out, swallowing thickly.

Kai spoke to Jesse quickly before ending the call and moving closer to Kate. "Let's get you to the living room."

Nodding her head, Kate wrapped her arms around his neck.

Kai helped Kate to her feet and helped her out of bed and down the stairs to the living room.

It wasn't long before Jesse and the ambulance both arrived.

"Thanks for watching the kids." Kai said calmly as he watched Kate get put into the ambulance.

"It's no problem, just keep me updated." Jesse said calmly.

Kai nodded as he climbed into the ambulance beside Kate.

The blonde instantly reached for his hand.

Kai squeezed her hand as he sat down and the paramedics closed the doors. The ambulance began to move.

Kate was asleep after giving birth to the twins. So Kai grabbed his phone and called Lucy first, knowing she'd contact everyone else.

Lucy answered the phone after a moment. "Hello?"

"Hey, they're here." Kai said softly, looking at the two sleeping babies.

"Really?" Lucy breathed. He could hear the smile in her voice.

Kai couldn't help but grin, ending the call and quickly video calling the brunette. "Meet Kalenna Jane and Kawai Michael." He said, turning the camera towards the twins.
