Did I really do that?

Dona-"Wakey, Wakey! You two fall asleep when we get home yesterday you need to get up have have something to eat."

"What time is it?"

Dona- "Its 7am you both have to go get ready for school."

How is it possible the me and Ben could sleep for over 12 hours? It's probably a parra-val thing. We both get up and go to our rooms get dressed then have some toast before heading to school. It's Ben's first day so he will probably be really popular today but he is a bit strange I hope on one say anything about it.

We walk into class I sit down at my desk and Ben walks over to out teacher Mr Cameron.

Mr Cameron- "Ok class listen up we have a new student joining us today his name is Ben Gaylic. I trust you will all make him feel welcome. Ben you don't you get take that open seat next to Ren."

Ben walks over to the seat and grabs the table. I use telepathic abilities- "Sit down on the seat!"
Ben does as I say, everyone just laugh at him thinking has was trying to be funny.
I was assigned to show Ben around since we have all the same classes. I spend the first 2 hours of the day trying to convince people that Ben is a completely normal kid.

Once lunch time finally rolls around I remember my promise to Henry. I grab two trays to get food for me and Ben as he is using the bathroom. I look around the canteen for Henry. I slowly walk over to him passing Beth on the way. Once I finely reach their table I stand there for a second before I gather up the courage to speak.

"Do you mind if I sit with you guys?"

Avery- "Why do you want to sit with us? It's not like we have talked since we were 12-13 even.

"I know I'm really sorry. I should have listen to you about Beth you were right about everything. I'm so sorry.

Avery- "Fine you can sit with us."

Henry gives me a big smile and a double thumbs up. Ben comes running over to the table.

Ben- "Have you see this video going around!?"

"What video?"

Ben- " The one of the cheerleaders saving that child.!"

Henry- "Is her face in the video?"

Ben- "No but people are asking questions."

"Someone videoed her? Me and Ben saw her yesterday my car was one of the one's the fall of the bridge."

Ben-"Ren what are you talking about."

I point over to Avery who has no idea about my powers.

Avery- "Do you have a memory problem Ben?"

"YES! He does that's why he doesn't remember her being there."

Beth storms over to the table that we are sat at.

Beth- "What is WRONG with you Ren! Why are you sat with the losers and the new wired kid?"

"HOW DARE YOU TALK ABOUT THEM LIKE THAT! These people are my friends MY REAL FRIENDS. The people who have never judged me or hated me or ever tried to change me. So don't you DARE talk about them like that!"

I feel a ball of rage wash over me as Beth storms off. Ben and Henry run up to me and hug me. We all start laughing.
We spend the rest of lunch talking and laughing.

For the rest of the day I can't concentrate on anything. What if someone say my face? What if that lady tells people what I look like? I have to be careful, on one can know who or what I am. The government will turn me into a science project if they find out the truth.

I head to cheer practices to see all my friends sat on the bleachers. We are all practicing the pyramid one more time to make sure that we have it nailed and we do.
When Darla gets down she starts to wobble, she has no colour in her cheeks.

"Darla what's wrong? Are you Ok?"

As she goes to speak she collapses. I rush over to catch her. Ben runs over and helps me move her over to the bench.

"Darla when was the last time you ate something?"

Darla- "I....I errrr I don't know I don't remember, I just wanted to be lighter so we wouldn't fall like last time."

The second she said that I know it was all my fault. She did this to her self because of what I said. I grab a protein bar out of my bag and hand it to her.

"Eat this, I'm so sorry for what I said to you I was so wrong. You don't need to losses any weight. You are perfect just the way you are."

Beth- "Don't apologise you where right Ren!"

"No I wasn't I was wrong and you are wrong to, you were wrong about me!"

I look over to Ben with Ben words replaying in my head- 'if you don't want to do it you shouldn't have to it's not like I the world will end if you don't do it." I turn back to the team.

"I nominate Hannah and Darla to be co-captains hangs up if you agree."

Everyone including Ben Henry and Avery put their hands up Beth looks extremely mad and I do not care.

Beth- " You three don't have a vote your not even on the team!"

"Hannah, Darla you make the rules now you can change anything you want have fun..... Beth guess what."

Beth-"WHAT!"

"I quit.!!!"

The four of us walk away from the filled.

"I cant believe I just did that!"

Henry' "Why did you do it?"

"Because Ben was right. It's my life and I shouldn't do something because Dona wants me to do it...... We should go all out tomorrow after school there's this really cute little cafe.

Avery- "Yes we should do it! See you guys tomorrow.

We all head home, all I can think about is how pissed Dona is going to be when she finds out I'm no longer on the cheer team. Ben makes me do more training the second we get home. He's making me make fire balls in the palm of my hands I all most set fire to my carpet again.
