Each step wide and speedy as Kyne found his way through the outer wall of the island. Wednesday. It was Wednesday. That left him at most two.. not even two, one? One day to find her. He rubbed his paws beneath his eyes as his ears drooped. That was at most though. Nami said she had been fairly certain that her heat would start on Friday by the earliest, which meant they may have some padding on how soon it'd actually begin. If she went into heat here, she'd certainly mate. Likely more than once and Kyne, well, he didn't want that. He didn't want that and not because of the little Mating Law he had reeled her into either.
"But what does she want?" he breathed to himself and he picked up his pace. He didn't know how she truly felt about him. Kyne didn't even know if they were friends. If it wasn't for the fact that she'd be devastated about losing her territory, perhaps this would be the ideal place for her.
That wonder made him debate if he should even keep searching, but he shook his head and continued. He'd need to at least find her and ask. If she'd rather stay, then he presumed he'd have to stay long enough to win the bet and then just... not see her again.
His stomach sunk at that thought. Kyne continued through the doors, between the inner walls, had a guard guide him to the main section of the island, and immediately was hit in the face again by arousing scents.
"Oh...kay..." he swallowed as the guards joked with him to have fun and the echoes of moans pierced his ears. All sorts of mating happened inside the homes, outside them, in the most oddest of places and wherever people felt comfortable enough. He stumbled forward, his eyes unsure on where to wander. He aimed them up, and regretted it, as even in a tree a couple were at it. "It's just nature," he mumbled to himself, but that didn't help him. Just nature meant that surely it'd be okay if he dabbled a little.
As Wells explained it, it could be like a drug. Kyne could understand why in a heartbeat. Every male here had so many options every single day. Females in heat. Searching for mate. So long as she agreed, they had their fill for the day.
There were some females here and there that strolled by without many onlookers. With the lack of scent coming off them, it was safe to assume that they weren't in heat. Some appeared disappointed, as many of the males sought after the ones in heat first. Other females seemed far more comfortable. Walking around in stride. Likely getting things done for the day, as the people here still had to live.
"A wolf anthro~!" a voice cooed from the side of him. This again. "RaUrsa let a wolf into our island." Kyne turned toward the voice and saw her to be a red panda. His heart raced as he feared what he may do, but stopped as he didn't smell anything wafting off her.
"Could you keep it down a notch?" Kyne asked. For someone not in heat, she seemed mighty interested.
"Oh you're fine. You've come before most of these guys eat dinner," she gestured to the couples mating. "They all found partners long before you arrived and need to go refuel their energy. Wolf hybrids though, they're quite popular with this island. Usually she lets a pack in at a time, or else a single wolf gets flooded by interested females."
"You mean like you?" Kyne raised a brow, then he shook his head and waved her off. "I need to move, I'm searching for someone."
"And you find it sooo wise to not ask the single female here that isn't in heat about this someone?" Kyne rolled his eyes and began to walk on. The red panda continued. "Could she perhaps have a blue pussy?" Kyne stopped, his ears perked up and he spun back around toward her. "Oh?" she mused. "So you've already mated her once before?"
"No, not ye--we've had fun, that's all."
"That's all, hm?" the red panda placed her hands on her hips and raised her brows.
