Maggie's POV:I get woken up by a phone ringing and I rub my eyes gently to get rid of the blurriness before feeling Noel remove her arms from me to grab her phone.
I turn around to see her squinting her eyes at her screen before groaning quietly. She slides her finger over the screen and held it to her ear.
"What do you want?" She grumbles out and I chuckle softly at her being grumpy. I can't hear what the caller is saying but I scoot closer to her and kiss her cheek before snuggling into her neck.
Noel wraps her right arm around me gently and I smile to myself. "Well, Xander, you would be grumpy too if I woke you up from a peaceful nap and you can't deny it either, fucker," she says making me giggle quietly.
From this position I can hear a man's voice sorta clearly. "Forgive me then, fucker. I'm not a future seer. Anyways before I was rudely spoken too, I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out? I'm thinking of coming down on July 3rd and stay for a few weeks. It's only if you want too, Cap," the man Xander announces with a chuckle.
Noel hums tauntingly, "Mm I don't know. What's in it for me?" I swat her stomach gently for teasing her friend and she grins at me cutely. I playfully roll my eyes with a soft smile.
"Unlimited apple pies? And I'll cook dinner every day," he responds quickly making Noel sigh dramatically.
"I suppose I can deal with your company. But I'm not gonna be home on the 3rd til late so preoccupy yourself until I get home," she says with a small laugh at the end.
I sit up and peck her lips before getting up to head towards the bathroom. After doing my business and washing my hands, I walk back inside the room finding Noel stretching where her shirt lifts up a bit.
From here I saw a part of a scar on her lower back. I bit my lip in worry. She gets those from being in the war.
A war that she can get dragged back into any moment. So I'm planning on making the best of it with the time that I have with her.
She turns to me with a smile. "Sorry about that. Xander's my best friend and buddy from the army. He's my right hand man," she says with an apologetic smile.
I wave her off with a soft smile. "Don't worry about it, Noel. I find it cute how close you guys are," I respond in a soft tone.
Her cheeks get a bit pinkish and she looks away slightly. "Don't let him hear you say that. He'll get all butt hurt and say he's not cute but badass," she says with a small shake of her head.
I raise an eyebrow at her, "something tells me that he's not the only one that acts like that. Hmm?" She scoffs and lunges at me making me squeal as she gently tosses me onto the bed.
She climbs onto of me and quickly begins tickling my sides making me laugh uncontrollably. "I am badass, baby. Say it!" She exclaims laughing cutely and moves up my body to gently reach my neck.
I jerk away while playfully swatting her arms away. "Uncle! Uncle!" I laugh out and she pulls her hands away with a grin then cups her ear.
"You're a badass. You ass!" I tell her chuckling and swat her stomach getting a laugh from her as she gets off of me.
She sat down next to me still laughing slightly and I sat up fully. "I win," she quips playfully and winked at me
I squint my eyes at her and smirk before climbing on her lap. She raised an eyebrow up at me and I slide my hands up her shoulders then to clasp the back of her neck.
