Stella and Janie are in the kitchen while Bonham cooks bacon.

"Morning, Stella, Janie." Cordell greets, walking in.

"Morning." Stella replies. Janie only nods, her mouth full of cereal.

"Morning, daddy." Cordell greets.

"Good morning." Bonham says.

"Uh, mama know you're messing with her favorite bacon skillet?" Cordell asks, pouring himself a cup of coffee.

"She left me in charge. Don't fret." Bonham says.

"Well, it's your--" Cordell reaches for a piece of bacon.

"Hey!" Bonham barks, slapping his son on the hand with the tongs, Cordell ripping his hand away. Liam walks in, getting some coffee. "She got word that some farmer's market up in Odessa's selling some kind of a rare chili pepper, so..."

"The T-Rex Chocolate Chili Pepper. Melt your damn face off." Liam says.

"What are you doing today, Uncle Liam -- baling hay?" Stella teases.

"No." Liam says, letting out a small laugh. "I'm starting equine therapy, actually. Uh, I found a therapist that makes house calls. Or "horse calls," as she puts it. Um, but we're going over to the Davidsons to the pipe corral."

Janie grimaces when Cordell puts his boots right next to her.

"Dude." She gives him a disgusted look, motioning to her food.

"Hey." Bonham calls, getting his son's attention. He nods to the boots and Cordell quickly takes them off the counter.

"Jeez, mom goes out of town, you forget human decency?" Janie mutters.

"Shush, you." Cordell quietly tells her, gently pushing her head and sitting next to her.

"I talked to Colton about it." Liam says. "Uh, hey, Cordell, I know you've been doing your own thing, but, I don't know, maybe if you have time you'd want to join me." Janie looks at her dad.

"Uh..." Cordell lets out a small laugh. "Brother, I-I'm good."

"Right." Janie rolls her eyes.

"Janie?" Liam asks.

"Uh... this would involve talking and-- and trusting?" She asks. "Pass."

"Stella!" August walks in. "You used the last clean towel." He complains.

"There's more in the dryer. I told you this." Stella says.

"Ugh. No, you didn't." August argues.

"Augie is just mad because I have the bigger room and he wants it." Stella says.

"Okay. You said I could have it when you left for Sauber." August says.

"Yeah. And I never left. Ergo, the room is still mine." Stella says.

"She would be correct." Janie comments.

"Thank you." Stella tells her. "Back me up, Uncle Liam. From a legal point of view..." Liam holds his hands up in surrender.

"Stella, Stella. Stella." Cordell stops her. "I think we're all just trying to wrap our heads around this new reality of you not going off to college. Myself included."

"Speaking of which, what do you plan on doing with yourself now that it's not Sauber?" Bonham asks.

"Well, I th... I think..." Stella stammers as everybody but Janie stares at her. Janie doesn't stare at her, knowing she's getting enough pressure, especially from Cordell. "I mean, I mean, like... you know, I-I really like helping people, so, something like that?"
