Days had passed since then. Jeanne and Kid would leave the heart of Ygdrassil. It would be a safer place to explore. On their way leaving, they met a brown rhino with a horn on its nose, sleeping on the ground.
"Look, Kido. I haven't seen a rhino with brown skin!", Jeanne was excited as usual.
"It is on our way, we must pass through it. I think it won't harm us if we don't harm it", Kido made sure they were safe.
When they were passing it, the rhino showed its teeth, like it was smiling to them. What's surprising was it had sharp teeth and two fangs. It stood up with its two legs. Its legs had sharp claws.
"Grooowlllll", it roared.
"Isn't it a rhino? Is it a sabertooth or is it a bear?", Kido and Jeanne were freezing.
The rhino which was also a sabertooth which was also a bear approached them. It raised its hand and was swinging it to them. It was too late for Kido to dodge it. He released Jeanne on his back, making himself as a shield for her.
"Whoosh", a sound of wind was heard. The wind carried an arrow with its hand. The arrow hit the creature's neck. In short time, it was paralyzed and passed out.
"Brukkk," it fell down to the ground, making the ground shake. Kido acted swiftly, he faced the direction the arrow was coming from. He pulled out his dagger, was on his alert.
"Grsk grsk," someone was coming from bushes. Not long enough until they knew that it was a woman. A lady of lofty stature graced the scene, standing tall. A dusky complexion adorned her, and her eyes gleamed like precious jewels. Cascading down her back, her raven-black locks flowed, complementing the ebony garments that clad her form modestly. Sharp ears, akin to those found within the pages of a fairy tale, adorned her visage, suggesting an otherworldly presence-a creature of elven ilk, it appeared.

"It's a chimera, you shouldn't approach it. I used poisonous arrow, so it should be a carcass now. Anyway, what are children doing in such place? Are you running from your dad and girl?", she had the voice of cheerful person.
"Are you exovians?", Kido didn't lower his guard. He expected that the elf was Exovian's envoy in order to kill them.
"Hey, be calm, boy... I've just saved your lives you know," She tried to calm Kid
"She was true. She has saved us, Kido", Jeanne agreed with the female elf. Then Kido sheathed his dagger.
"Do you mind answering my question before?", she asked them again.
"We were running from Bandit. Now we're trying to get out of this forest. We're going to Ivra region but don't know where it is", Jeanne explained their situation.
"Eh... you must be a noble, cute girl ... and you must be her... what?", she guessed who they were.
"Servant," Kido told her as Jeanne's servant. His eyes suspected the elf.
"Don't worry, I'm not trying to harm you. I'm here to hunt beast's skins. I hid them inside those bushes. Luckily for you, I know the way to get out of here. You can follow me if you want. Once we get out from here, we'll arrive at the border between Ivra and Diafroz. You can reach Ivra in a week after then.", she offered them his aid.
Jeanne pulled the hem of Kido's pant, giving him a sign to discuss.
"What do you think, Kido?", she whispered to Kido.
"I don't trust her", Kido still suspected her.
"I have seen elves in the castle. They are Exovian's messenger. From what I know, they are races with high honour, so I think she won't lie to us. It is a good offer from her, though," Jeanne persuaded Kido to accept her aid.
"Hmm... then it's been settled", Kido agreed.
"Looks like you accept my aid. You can call me Leila. I'm a Gifted archer. It's nice to meet you, kid," the female elf, Leila, introduced herself.
"I'm Jeanne and he is Kido. I'm disabled so I can't walk. I'm sorry if I will hinder you. Nice to meet you too, Ms. Leila", Jeanne introduced themselves.
"Eh....Don't worry poor girl, I'm strong enough to carry you", Leila seemed quite surprised. She grabbed Jeanne's shoulder and legs then carried her like a prince and his princess. He told Kido to bring her catches.
Then they continued their journey together, getting out from the heart of Ygdrassil. On the way, they hunted some animals that were worth eating. Leila hit the animal with her arrow. Kido skinned the hunted animal and cooked it. Jeanne's task was just eating it. They made a campfire and rested when the night came.
"Ms. Leila, you said earlier that you are Gifted, right? What kind of power do you have? Kido is a Gifted too, you know. He can zoom his sight to see small thing" Jeanne asked Leila about her Gift.
"Hey, don't just tell a stranger", Kido had to warn her again and again.
"Eh.... your Gift is very useful for a bandit, Kid"
"I'm her servant, though", he avoided Leila's words.
"As I said earlier, I'm a Gifted. Since a child, I could feel the air pressured. I know the difference of air in a mountain, city, or river. Strangely, people around me didn't get it when I explained to them what I felt about the air. Then I knew that only me who could feel the air pressure. Not just feel it, actually I can control it. As a child, I was curious about that. When I tried to fiddle with the air pressure, I found that the wind would move from strong air pressure to weak. So, in conclusion, I can make wind move in some direction as I want. I use it to fasten my arrow as an archer as I used it to take down the beast before. Although, I can't make a strong enough wind to blow away heavy objects,"Leila explained her Gift in detail.
"You have interested Gift, Leila", she said it but her face showed her confusion.
"Eh... do you really think so? Anyway, it's a secret between us. I agree with Kido, next time you shouldn't tell anyone about someone's Gift. It is just like a hunter telling the prey that he bring a poisonous knife. I told you because you have told me his Gift."
"So like that, I'm sorry Kido, hehe."
They had chit-chat while continued their journey. The silence journey became a pleasant journey since Leila joined the gank.
