Chole stared at him in shock as she shook her head in disbelief. " So all of this time you wanted him to fail. Why?" He shrugged his shoulders and sat down on the chair, " Like I've said before, I didn't like him or even gave him the attention that he wanted...but his mother...was a different story." She arched an eyebrow at him. " What are you talking about your wife, you mean?" I corrected as he glanced away from her. " Her and I were forced to marry for our family. It was a deal.." he took a sip of wine and sighed deeply. " the amount of times that I've explained to her that I couldn't love her, nor the children." He spoke softly as she worried about him. " And why is that?" She asked as he rubbed his face with his hand. " Because I wasn't in love with her, nor towards the kids. I acted like I loved her until she passed when I told her the truth. " She took a seat across from him and gave him a look of continuation. " The truth is that I was unable to love her like she wanted me to. But she forgave me with her kind smile.'' he added. " What about the kids?"
" The oldest left when she started college, and didn't want to stay in contact with me while the twins weren't happy staying with me, so they left. " He made eye-contact with her. " What about you and Charles?" She was surprised about him knowing about her affair with Charles. " I do know things about your life too." He grinned as she smirked back at him. " Heh. him and I cut it off because my family needed me the most. But the kids loved him, Billy didn't. " She crossed her arms and recalled the memory. "Billy was a good person as I was a person too, but everything started to change for us when we started to talk about the topic of getting a new start. Mom disliked the idea because she wouldn't see the kids....him and I knew that something would happen that night. " She told him as he stared at him and nodded, " The night that he was murder?" he questioned as she closed her eyes and had the regret in her body of the last moment with Billy, before it was too late. Wishing that she could go back in time and change his fate-cause she was supposed to die...not him.
" I do regret not telling him the times that I was having an affair with Charlie, but deep down I knew he was having an affair with the maid. " She played with the necklace around her neck. " My mom made me do that stuff, so I could be the victim...in reality, he was the real victim. " She glanced down at the gem in the necklace with a soft sighed leaving her lips once again. " You both were victims ...and forced to be married to each other even though you two didn't exactly love each other. '' he tried to reason with her. " Couldn't blame me for loving a guy who made me feel free...and safe in his arms. " She glanced down the floor before footsteps approaching them which she turned around face to face with Charles. " Hey.." She nodded towards him as Victor cleared his throat, so his attention was on him. " Do you have what we've asked for?" He took it out of his bag and handed it to him, " Yes, I did. I don't understand why you must asked me about this journal...it doesn't say whos, or what the person belongs too." Victor dusts the journal off.
" This journal could help us out with our project, or anything else. " he explained. Charles looked confused by this as he looked at him, " And your point is...?" Victor angrily sighed and looked him in the eyes. " My point is that we don't know what kind of secrets will be uncovered with this journal. " He pointed out as he looked at him, " True, but we haven't been trying to look into more of that family." Chole looked at him. " The Haunted family? " He nodded in agreement with her. " Yes. that's right." Victor looked between them, " The Haunted family is faked, not real. Because how is that family supposed to be real even though Zayn and Perrie broke up?" He asked as Charles chuckled and patted his head while he glared up at him, " Maybe because this journal belongs to them in a way, but the key is someone that you two are using. Or we could try and get one of his kids." He stared in question. " Who's that?" He asked.
" Well, Holly. She lives in our reality but we don't know where she is at the moment. " He grumbled the last part before he fixed his tie. " Then again, we could ask your dog if he knows. " Victor gave him a look. " You mean Calum...?'' He gasped in delight and grinned, " Ah, that's his name!" Chole eyed him carefully. " He isn't a dog. " She defined him as Charles looked over at her. " Maybe so, but he is a lost puppy that you've picked up and took into this project of yours." with that he left.
" Chloe? If we don't know how to open this journal.." He started to say as she walked over to the journal and tried to open it, but couldn't. " What!? Why?!" Victor shrugged his shoulders as he opened his suitcase, " Maybe it has a spell on it, so we couldn't opened it. " He suggest as he looked through his books then test it out which it zapped him with a harsh purple color light. " Victor! Are you alright?" He groans and rubbed his arms-trying to smooth out of the pain. " I think...so..." He mumbled as she concered about him. " You sure? Because that spell could've hurt you...or worse."
" Or worse? When you did started to care about me?"
" What are you talking about? I always cared about you, Victor. "
Victor yank his armed away from her gripped and looked away. " Then explained to me the times that you've left me when I told you that I.." He stopped himself for saying what's on his mind. " Victor..." She spoke softly.
" We should find a way to undo this spell before end of the year, or worse. " He told her as he looked back at his books which she just nodded and went to do her own research.
Jack POV
I went through Dad's old files when he goes to work as I did found something about him that was interesting. " hm? But how did he hide the fact that he had a daughter before us..? " I asked myself as I set the filed about Holly. I picked up a journal of his but it was number on it-it was 3 on it. I opened to the first page of it and sitting on the floor with the door opened to his office while the light raindrops hitting the roof of the house could be heard from the roof and window.
The times that I've wished about coming back this cabin, and found the secrets that I've buried long before any of the kids were born. It wasn't good but I had to keep them safe and sound. My first daughter Holly, was a special case with her powers that were unknown to us until we did a blood check on her to find out that she could control rain, fire and ice all in one. The only way she could unlocked these powers when she fall into her emotions deeply then she could unlocked them. Or maybe she could unlocked them when she come to the rightful age. We don't know for sure though, but Zayn isn't in the right in the head. He wants to do tests on her when she is growing up....I couldn't let him do that. I need to save her before he continues. And finds the truth about her power...they are dangerous when she loses control.
I gaved her to Jess and Micheal to take care of her when they told me that they've given her to Ashton's mother...I knew it was a right choice to do that then maybe she couldn't unlocked for the safely. The reason why? My grandfather had those powers and ruined everything for grandma...I wish I could've kept her forever...but I couldn't.
I set the journal down on the floor near me. " Jack, where are you?" he looked up to see Octivia. " Hey, what do you need me? I thought you be here for Molly. " He stand up as she looked at him, " I've seen her a lot since my Mom moved here, but I need help with history paper. " She answered. " What's the history paper about?" I asked as I lead her way to the kitchen then she walked besides me, " It's about the war one, and I did study but I couldn't even find the way it should be in a good explaining the why the war one started in the first place. " She blurted. I started to make tea for us as she looked at me. " Wasn't this due like next week?" He raised an eyebrow at her.
She sighed deeply and rest her hand on her plam, " Yes, I forgot about it when Mom was unpacking stuff. " She explained as I handed her a cup and looked at her, " Fair enough, we can do the paper tonight. " He tells her as she smiled. " Oh, thank you!" He beamed back at her. " Perhaps we could talked about that play~" She winked as he blushed deeply and smiled, " Shut up, Juliet." He playfully joked as she grinned and watched him walked over to the couch. " Alright, Romo." She teased as he shook his head. I chuckled and sitting on the couch then helped her out with her history paper.
