When I returned to the hotel I searched my suitcase for my "formal" outfit. I picked out my rosy pink knee-length dress. I grab my makeup and put pink eyeshadow on and a rosy lip. I brushed through my messy hair. I grabbed my white sneakers and put them on. Suddenly I heard the door knock. Michaela mouths the words "Breathe." She answered the door and I grabbed my backpack with my Wallet and phone.
I see a tall groomed Rayven. He's in a black suit with a white tie. His slicked-back hairstyle is loosened up and his curtain bangs have overtaken his face. He presented me with roses and his sweet smile. "Oh, thank you." I grabbed the roses and handed them to Michaela. Mick grabs them and holds onto them.
"Have fun," Michaela said.
I nodded. Rayven linked his arm with mine. We headed downstairs and my parents were in the lobby. My dad leaning against the couch. He is tapping his foot against the floor. He has his eyebrow arched. He held out his arms. I ran towards him. "You look beautiful, baby girl. Have fun." My dad whispered in my ear. I nodded. My dad looked at Rayven and then at me protectively. I went to hug my mom. Her warm embrace soothed me when I was nervous.
"Mr. Hart. You have fun, but you be back here at eleven you hear. Eleven." My dad said. Putting his hand on Rayven's shoulder. "Take care of my daughter." My dad says softly.
I walked back to Rayven. He linked my arm with mine. "You know I could hear you, right?" I said.
My dad laughed. My dad wraps his arms around my mom and I roll my eyes. "Okay, Rayven, let's go before I get scarred for the second time in my life," I said, unlinking my arm and heading toward the exit. I heard all of them laugh. I heard footsteps toward me and Rayven laughed.
"You're so funny, Aurora."
I look at Rayven. "You better believe it."
I stand outside waiting for a taxi. Rayven starts walking on the sidewalk. "Come on." He waves me. I catch up to him and he brings me to the aquarium. We went in and Rayven knew everyone there.
"Hey, Sam. Is my surprise for Ms. Johnson ready?" He said looking at me.
"Hi, Rayven. Yes. Yes, it is. Follow me." Sam said.
We followed Sam to the back of the aquarium. Most of the aquarium has the lights off. Sam leads us to the shark exhibit. It has a table with candles all over and rose peddles. There was food and sparkling cider on the table. I stop in my tracks. I was too stunned to speak. Rayven pulled out of my seat. "Ms. Johnson?"
I took my seat and Rayven sat across from me. "Rayven, this is the most romantic thing somebody has ever done for me."
Rayven's eyes softened. "I'm glad I could do this for you."
I looked at the steak on the plate. I cut into it. I devoured it."You know, a steakhouse was my parents' first official date." I said drinking my cider.
Rayven slicked his hair back. "Oh? I heard rumors it was a sushi restaurant."
"Well, when they met up they had sushi, but never a sushi restaurant," I said fidgeting with my napkin.
Rayven grabs my hand in his. He smiled flirtatiously; I blush. Rayven grabbed his phone and plays classical music. He put his napkin on his empty plate. He stood up and came towards me. He grabbed my hand and kisses it.
"Ms. Johnson, will you dance with me?"
I smiled flirtatiously. "Yes, I will."
Rayven looks at me. "Is this okay?" He asks while intertwining his fingers with mine. I nod. With my other hand, I put it on his muscular shoulder. He puts his other hand around my back. He grabs me and nudges me closer towards me. I'm so close to him that I can feel his breath on my face. We stare at each other for a minute. Rayven and I dance around the room. He dips me down and I gasp. When I come back up Rayven looks at me flirtatiously. I feel breathless.
"I should get you back to the hotel or your dad will kill me," Rayven said, smiling at me.
I grabbed my backpack and we walked back to the hotel. We walked past the pool room. Rayven looked at the door. "It looks like the pool's still open. Do you want to take a late-night dip?" Rayven asks, smiling.
I smiled. "Yeah...yeah, I do."
Rayven nodded and he went into his hotel room. "Meet you in there." He said.
I went up to my room and Mick was asleep. I changed into my white lacey bikini. I put on my Rams robe. I put my hair in a messy bun. I grabbed a towel and went back downstairs to the pool room. Rayven is already in the hot tub. He smiled brightly at me as I threw my towel and removed my robe. I threw it on the lounge chair by my towel like a football. "Like father, like daughter," Rayven said, smiling.
I chuckled. I get into the hot tub slowly and sat across from Rayven. I looked at him and he's playing with his hair. "So, I have a million questions about you Aurora."
"Me too," I said, splashing my face with the warm water.
"Okay, you go first." He half smiled.
"When did you become a rockstar? How did you meet Ezra and Jacob?" I asked, watching his every move.
"Yeah. Um...we met in high school. freshman year. We had band class together and we wanted to create the band." Rayven looked at me as I was holding my shoulders. "Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah, my shoulders are still stiff from the plane," I say, leaning lower into the hot tub.
Rayven looked at me concerned. He pulled me towards him. He started to massage my shoulders and neck. I moaned. Rayven was good at this. I felt Rayven's breath on my shoulder "My turn to ask a question." He whispers. I nod. "What's your middle name?" He asked.
I smiled. "Illine. After my mom. It was to honor my grandpa."
Rayven looks at me. "Aurora Illine. Hm...your parents have great taste."
I chuckled. "Can I ask about your ex?" I bite my lower lip. Rayven inhales sharply. He looks deep in thought. "I don't want to talk about her." He growled.
"Oh, okay." I frowned.
Rayven frowned. He knew he upset me. "I'm sorry." Rayven said softly.
"It's okay."
I smiled at Rayven. I cupped his cheek. Rayven is looking into my eyes. He has his hand in my hair. I looked up at his hair. "I love the slicked back---" I giggled. He gave me a warm smile. I sat on Rayven's lap. My hands are in the perfectly styled hair. Rayven wrapped his arms around my hips and he's given me a confused look.
I wrapped my arms around his broad shoulders and look into his eyes. I gave him a warm smile. Rayven had his face two inches from my face. I look at Rayven.
"Kiss me," I said softly.
Rayven's confused look turned to pleased as he brought my forehead to his. He put his hand on my jawbone and smirked. "There's no one like you Aurora Johnson." He whispered, rubbing my back.
His lips met mine in a gentle kiss. His kiss was what I needed at that moment. He takes my hair and brushes it back. His tongue dips in my mouth and I put my hand on his jawbone moving it to his shoulder. I leaned onto Rayven and Rayven's lips go down to my neck. He stops and looks at me. We smiled at each other. I giggled. Rayven put a kiss on my forehead.
I sat on the seat by the jets. I've never been kissed like that before. I was in awe of how that kiss made me feel. That was the best kiss I've ever had. Rayven put his arm over my shoulder and I looked at him. "Oh, is this ok? I hope I didn't overstep boundaries." Rayven asked, concerned.
I leaned into him and rested my head on his shoulder. "It's absolutely alright, Rayven but I'm tired."
