I was already running when Rayven said "let's go". When Rayven caught up to me I was already at the lake. My parents shared with me about their past and I was so excited to see where they met. It felt like I was reading their love story.
I saw the rock where my mom was sketching where my dad came up to her. When Rayven caught up to me I squealed.
"Rayven, that's the rock my mom sat on sketching when my dad came up to her to say "Hey". " I squeal.
"That's how it happened...wow!" Rayven exclaimed.
I went and sat on the rock. I felt like my mom sitting on this rock; where it started for my parents. I can't believe it started here. Rayven came near me and cupped my cheek. He kissed me.
"Rayven, I feel like my mom right now. I think you should take a picture of me on this rock so I can send it to my parents. It'll be nostalgic for them."
Rayven grinned. "As My Queen wishes."
Rayven took my phone and I pose on the rock. He took the picture. I looked at the picture. My eyes widened. I put my hand to my face.
"Oh, my God, I look like my dad! He has strong DNA that's for sure."
Rayven laughed. I sent the picture to both my parents in the group chat my dad created when we went to Dallas a few years ago for his game with the Dallas Cowboys with the caption, Guess where I am! Nostalgic, right?
My parents replied quickly.
Dad: Oh wow! Yes. Just like your mom
Mom: Oh, No Camoran! She's your twin!
Dad: And, I'm proud.
Me: Oh, my God, guys, stop.
Rayven sat by me and he wrapped his arm around me. I put my phone in my back pocket. We looked over the water and I glanced at Rayven. He glances back. I smacked my lips together and I leaned into chest.
A sudden wave of breeze came through and I held onto Rayven. He put his hand on my chin and kissed my lips. His lips are soft and gentle. I heard someone coming up to the rock.
"Get a room!" They exclaimed.
Rayven and I grinned. We laugh. He sets me down on the rock and he stares at me. I looked to my left and saw two women who looked familiar. One with red hair, green eyes, and thin ached eyebrows. And of course my grandmother was with her.
"Rayven, look!" I exclaimed, sitting on my elbows.
Rayven looked in my direction. "Oh, great!"
The two woman came towards us. My grandmother looked at me maliciously. 'What is my grandmother doing with Choral?' Choral went to Rayven immediately. She looked at me slightly.
"Oh Rayv, what are you doing with her when you can be with me...think about it. I can do so much better than her—"
"Excuse me, Choral did you forget? You cheated on me and not with anyone, with her ex. For the last time Choral—GO AWAY!"
"But—"
Something inside of me snapped. I needed to protect my man at all costs. I went towards Choral. She looked at me with the stupid look in her eyes and I pushed her so slightly off Rayven. I stood in front of Rayven. I get a glance of Rayven's expression which is a surprised one.
"He said he's not interested so, Bitch, get off my man. He's not yours anymore. Hes mine. Go away!" I looked at my grandmother angrily. I grabbed Rayven's hand.
"And you! If you ever come near my mom again, you'll have to answer to me and my dad. Go away, LYDIA JOHNSON!"
They both scoffed and left. I rolled my eyes and turned to Rayven.
"Are you okay—?"
Rayven grabbed me and pulled me into him. He kissed me passionately. His tongue met mine aggressively. He put his hands in my back pocks of my jeans. He let me go and I smiled at him surprisingly. "What was that for?" I asked.
Rayven grabbed my hands. He went to my ear. "You are the most wonderful woman in the world."
I smiled and wrapped my arms around Rayven's neck. "Why, thank you, Mr. Hart."
He laughed. He grabbed my hand leading me out of the park. We laughed, looking at each other. We went towards Rayven's. When I looked over at my grandma's house she's outside planting flowers.
"Rayven, wait. I want you to meet my grandma."
Rayven nods. We go up the driveway and my grandma looks at me. She smiles big. She stands up and looks at me and then at Rayven.
"How's my blonde bombshell? Who's this Aurora?" She asked with a mysterious look.
"Grammy, I want you to meet my boyfriend, Rayven Hart. Lead singer of the band of The Pages. Rockstar, this is my grandma, Diane Rose. " I said, grabbing Rayven's hand and intertwining my fingers with his.
"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Rose." Rayven said, happily, shaking my grandma's hand.
"Rayven, nice to finally meet you. I'm a big fan your music. My granddaughter sings it all the time." My grandma said, looking at me.
I put my hand to my face. I'm embarrassed.
"I've been told she's been a fan of us since forever. We're actually going on tour in a few weeks Mrs. Rose if you want to come. I know Aurora would love that." Rayven said looking at me.
"Oh, please, you're sounding like my son-in-law. Diane will do. I couldn't." My grandma says blushing.
"Grammy, yes you could. I'm going along with him wherever he's going. You should come to the L.A show." I said looking at her.
Rayven looks at me surprised.
"Oh, what the hell. I'll come."
Rayven and I laugh. "Yay! Diane, you and Aurora will be backstage while we're performing—and Aurora's folks if they come." Rayven squeezes my fingers.
"Ok. I love you already. Aurora's last beau was terrible to her family."
Rayven looked at me full of curiosity. He looked back at my grandma.
"Yeah, I know. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, she's got you, Rayven."
"Um—I'm right here, you know." I said, shrugging my shoulders.
Rayven laughs. "Well, we should be getting back. Nice to meet you Diane."
I hug my grandma. "Bye, grammy. Love you, see you in a few weeks."
"Okay, now you kids get out of here." She says
Me and Rayven laughed and waved bye. She went back to gardening. I love my family. Well most of them. I'm loving my life. We started to walk back to Rayven.
"I need to talk to you." Rayven said seriously, stopping and looks at me.
"Okay?"
I wonder what this could be?
