The Devil in Me - The Bright Red Path

Chapter 5

Melena and I stood up, she looked at David's doorway once again and spoke in a softer tone with clear sorrow in her words "I don't know where this world will take us, but David is in serious medical care and I don't want my baby to be hurt" I stopped Melena, I thanked her for all her families work and asked that she stay with David while he still lives. Melena nodded and before she left to grab Emily I told her that her son's name is going to be David jr. She was left in shock but she understood why I told her this, She grabbed Emily and I wished them off well. Chris and Charlotte wondered why Melena and her family were going to be leaving but David's condition was enough explanation for them to figure it out.

Inside the house Project 0409 finally woke up. We embraced each other and he whispered in my ear if I showed Melena. I whispered back that I did. Project 0409 sprung from the couch and while he sheathed his sword he traced his hand down my face and held me up by the chin "I knew I could trust you" I could feel my eyes changing color while the red dots flowed freely across my face, I looked up to Project 0409 in every way, and Fate was wrong it's my freedom to be a slave for his love.

"Yes master..." I didn't even realize the words had left my mouth, Project caught on and chuckled a bit

"That's a new one, is your succubus blood taking over?" He helped me stand up while I giggled at his joke.

"My succubus blood has nothing to do with the things I feel for you kid" We laughed for a bit when we realized that Chris and Charlotte were still in the room. Project 0409 filled in the kids with how we knew all this preparation work was pointless, the kids were confused but I further explained that Project and I share a special ability to send messages back to the past, as genetic memory. Project 0409 put my explanation into smaller words "The future me and Casper told us exactly how to find the Berberoka, and what we need to do" he said. The kids were about to make a wrong assumption, I told them that us four needed to go be busy while David suffered a serious injury so he could be the reason Melena took her family away. Chris asked why, and that we needed the family, But Project painted the big picture by saying that Melena and her family will either be severely hurt or killed during the fight, and we cannot put our family in harm's way.

Charlotte caught on quickly and acknowledged our bravery, Chris eventually pieced it together and he exclaimed his readiness to finally end this Devil. I however put an end to that thought, The kids objected but I told them that this is a fight only for Project 0409 and I, and that the Kids are to expand their reach across the valley while we go kill the Devil. Chris asked if they were being ordered to cleanse the streets while Project and I were gone.

Project 0409 corrected Chris, the kids aren't cleansing the streets but rather they are following their own paths and keeping their souls at peace while we are away. The kids understood their assignment and as the plan predicted, they were off and out of the story for now.

Project 0409 - Casper and I set up the future as it was supposed to be written by Judy Calmer. Even now we don't know why this happened or how it's going to end, but the message was to be alone and find the Berberoka where it all began. Casper and I transferred our conscious' to the plain of infinity, and just as the story began there she was. Batibat Berberoka was standing there just like Fate once did, Casper was visibly simmering and starting to almost growl like an enraged wolf. I drew my sword slowly and both sides of the playing field met up in the middle. The Berberoka made the first comment "Sad to see this all end so suddenly and less expected?" I spoke for Casper and myself when I replied that we knew this fight was going to happen, and however it's arranged the outcome remains. Both sides took five steps back and respectively took a moment of silence and the first one to crack under anger will begin the battle. Unexpectedly, the prediction was a mirage. Instead of the Devil breaking first it was Capser, Her and the Devil exchanged blows at full force, Casper would carve up the Devil and get carved in return, however, the both of them could regenerate incredibly quick. Without a second thought I charged into the fray, My blade igniting sparks as the Berberoka blocked my attacks then received some from Casper.
