Chapter 2 : A Familiar Face

This was exciting. A new enemy to face off. I hope it's not another Demon King's general. These guys are way too strong for us. The reason why we managed to kill the others is because of my luck. If there was any other reason, I would like to know how we did it. Or maybe it's because we're such a great team, and we are just unbeatable.

Anyway. We are running in the town streets to meet with that evil presence who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, and we will beat it to death. I can't believe Aqua was right about that. The only thing she was right about and it turns out that it managed to interrupt my moment with my girlfriend. I swear I will beat this guy's ass for doing that.

It was past midnight, and I am still tired from this morning. I hope we can be done with that guy within less than an hour so I can go back to sleeping.

Every civilian in town was getting in their house to get safe, but all the other were adventurers, and those were running towards the main entrance of the town to meet that big guy. After a few moments, nothing was left in the streets, not a single person in sight.

As we went towards the action, we went past Wiz's shop, and eventually, we met Wiz and Vanir further away. I think they wanted to see who was behind all of the chaos happening in town.

"Hey Kazuma-san and his party! How are you guys? It's been a while since we met."

"Well, if it isn't the boy with his brilliant crew. Still disappointed from your night with the mage?"

All the girls were looking at me with a death look. I knew Vanir was telling the truth because he read my mind. Why can't he keep his mouth shut sometimes. I have to try to change the subject or I will get demolished by my crew and my girlfriend.

"Kazuma? What is Vanir talking about? And what does he mean by 'your night with the mage'?"

"And what does he mean by 'disappointed'? I thought you didn't want to do anything with me."

"Guys, it is not the time to talk about that. We have a town to save and an enemy to defeat, and Megumin, why are your eyes glowing red like that?"

"Everyone calm down. We don't need to resolve this with violence. Although all of these dark emotions are really a feast to me. We know who is the person behind that dark and evil presence me and Wiz felt earlier." Vanir said, trying to calm the situation around me.

"Yes, Vanir-san and me have both felt a weird presence coming at the town, so we thought it was better to tell the guild about it, so we went there to raise the alarm."

"HA! See Kazuma? I wasn't the only one who had felt this presence. Now you definitely owe me apologies for doubting me earlier."

"Shut up, Aqua! I told you it wasn't the time. " I said while I was whacking the head of Aqua.

"OW! STOP IT! IT HURTS!"

"I think we should go to the entrance to meet with this evil so we can beat it and finally get the rest we all deserve."

"Good idea, Darkness. Alright, let's go, guys. we have an enemy to defeat." Megumin said with excitation, thinking about using her explosion on it.

Me, our team, and with the help of Vanir and Wiz went to the entrance to join the other adventurers who were already there. We asked them who it was, but all of them were scared, like if they were traumatised by something. I went through the crowd to go to the front seat, and right in front of my eyes was someone with a familiar face. I froze instantly just from the sight of this person.

That dark armour, that headless horse and the decapitated head of this knight, this couldn't be possible. It was Beldia the Dullahan. How is he there? How is he alive? I'm probably dreaming again that this can't be possible. I killed that guy. The rest of my crew joined me for the same reason, and as soon as they saw the figure, they had the same reaction as me.
