Dear Mom and Dad,

It's been a while since we've seen each other. I hope everything is going well back home in Japan. For me, things have changed a lot since I came into this other world. I've made friends who are also my adventuring companions. I know this is hard to believe, but I also made myself a girlfriend, and soon, she will be my wife. I'm not kidding. In a few minutes, we will become husband and wife, and I still can't believe this will happen. I really wish I could present her to you, but this can't be possible. But I'm convinced you'll like her. Anyway, I hope one day I can see you again. You guys won't believe how much I've changed since then.

Love,
Kazuma Satou

It has been two weeks since Megumin and I went to the Crimson Magic Village. That day, I went there to ask for her hand in marriage, and she said yes.

Since then, the crew and I have used all of the time we have had to prepare everything for the wedding. We have even asked some other friends we know to help.

This is a big moment for Megumin and me, so it has to be close to perfect.

I was there, standing in front of the mirror in the room where I was preparing myself. I was trying to tie my bowtie, but no one had taught me how to do it.

While I was struggling with it, I heard someone's voice outside the changing room.

"Kazuma! What's taking you so long? You're going to be late for your wedding."

It was Aqua's voice on the other side of the door.

"Sorry, Aqua. I'm having trouble tying my bow tie. Could you come in and help me out?" I asked her before I let her into my changing room.

"Don't worry, Kazuma. I'll show you how it's done."

I noticed as soon as she entered how well she was dressed. She wore a long, white dress with blue accents that accentuated her look.

Aqua stood still in front of me, helping me rearrange my bowtie. She saw the mess I had made around my neck and looked at me with despair.

"What is this?" She said, disappointment in her voice. "I'll show you how to do it. First, you need to cross both sides. Then this side goes under here and goes out to make a knot. Now, with this side, you fold it halfway, and with this one, you make it go around and through that little hole here. And now, with both sides, you just pull them at the same time. Here you go. It looks way better than what you had before."

"Wow," I said. "I didn't expect it to look that good. Thank you, Aqua."

"Well, it's easier to do when you know how to do it. You're welcome."

There was a brief moment of silence between us. She was looking at me the same way a proud mother would look at her son.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked her. Then, her expression returned to normal.

"Oh. No, don't worry. Nothing's wrong," she replied. "It's just that I'm really proud of the man you've become. I was just admiring the great person you've changed into, that's all."

It was true that many things had changed in me. I can see now why she was staring down at me like a proud mother. I'm sure my real mother would have done the same.

"You're right about that, Aqua. To be honest with you, I'm also quite proud of all of us. We've been through so much during these past two years. We all have changed in our own way."

After we had chatted for a moment with each other, "We should probably get going now," Aqua pointed out.

"Right," I said.
