Final Chapter Part 2 : The Party

We've finally arrived at the guild after our little chat. I opened the entrance door, and not even a second later, "There they are!" A guy who was drinking next to the entrance noticed us entering the building.

"Look, guys! It's Kazuma and his team!" Another guy said, which brought the attention of everyone inside the guild to us.

People started gathering around us. Some of them were there to congratulate me and Megumin, and the rest were there to see Darkness or Aqua.

"Kazuma, you're finally here." I looked in the direction where the voice came from. It was Dust's voice; he was walking in my direction with two drinks in his hands. "Are you ready to celebrate?"

"Heck yeah. I'm also getting hungry. Let's order something to eat while we're at it."

My party members and I followed Dust to his table, where his party members were sitting and waiting for us.

When we arrived at their table, they were already eating and drinking in their seats. They quickly noticed us and were happy to see us.

"Hey! It's our good buddy, Kazuma! Good to see you," Keith said, raising his drink.

"Congratulations, Kazuma and Megumin. I'm so happy for your union," Rin said happily with a smile.

As for Taylor, the fourth member of Dust's crew, he was still munching on his food, but his expression told me he was happy for us too.

We all sat down with them and ordered some food. The waitress who took our orders told us we did not have to pay since we were the groom and bride.

While we were chatting and eating our food, "Hey there, Kazuma." Someone came from behind me and called my name. I thought I recognized the voice, so I turned around to see who had called me.

"Hi there, Chris," I said to my thieving friend. "Not going to lie, you kind of made me jump a little." I made her chuckle.

"Were you at the ceremony, Chris?" Darkness asked her. "I was hoping you would be there, but I couldn't see you anywhere."

"M-Me? At the ceremony? Erm... actually, um... I had some things to do today, so that's why I couldn't be there. Sorry." Chris gave a nervous giggle. She felt bad for lying to her best friend, Darkness. If she wanted to keep it a secret, she didn't have a choice but to lie.

"That's really unfortunate," Megumin added. "What you had to do must have been really important for you to miss the entire wedding." She felt really bad for Chris for not being able to witness the ceremony. If only she knew that she was actually there, but not as Chris.

Chris tried to change the subject of the conversation. "Anyway, do you mind if I join you guys?"

"Sure, have a seat here." I scooted over to the left so she could sit between me and her friend, Darkness.

"Thanks, Kazuma." She sat down, and we chatted while we ate our food for a couple of minutes until this happened.

"Sorry, everyone. May I have your attention for a moment, please?" Luna, the guild's receptionist, called out to everyone for their attention.

Everybody turned toward Luna and became all ears.

"We wanted to congratulate our famous adventurer, Kazuma Satou, and his bride, Megumin, on their union. May I ask you two to come here in front of me?"

I wondered what she wanted from us, but I didn't ask too many questions. So Megumin and I stood up and joined Luna. I noticed all the staff heading to the doors that led to the kitchen.

"The staff and I wanted to personally thank you for everything you and your party have done during these past two years. So, for all the accomplishments your party has made, we decided to give you all a present from all of us."
