A New Life For This NEET And This Explosion Maniac

Prologue

Kazuma's POV:

"I can't believe you made us do this kind of quest, Darkness. Why, when it's your turn to choose our quest, you always choose the most difficult quest on the board. Do you want us to die or something like that? Because if it's the case, you're doing really well, Darkness, I almost died again, you know." I said as we all entered our home after we came back from our impossible quest.

It was Darkness' turn to choose our quest. As always, it never ends well. We had to defeat a huge lizard who was messing with the farms of the farmers next to the city. That lizard was crazy. I had never seen something like that before. When I tried to cut a limb with my sword, it always regenerated back in about 5 seconds. He was even able to stand up after Megumin tried to use Explosion on, and he was still alive after that. I had to use Drain Touch to drain all of his mana so he couldn't regenerate again, and I tried cutting his head. Also, this lizard was fast, like very fast. One second, he was in front of us and the second after he was behind us. I still can't believe we made it out alive.

"I'm sorry, Kazuma, for the trouble I made you go through today. The only way to redeem myself is to get punished for all I did so you can punish me whatever the way you'd like. Have no mercy on me, Kazuma." Darkness said with her usual masochist face she always gave us when she wanted pain.

"I don't think it's necessary to punish you, Darkness. Yes, we almost died in our quest, but we didn't. And that reward for killing this big lizard was 1,5 million Eris, so I'm not that mad about it."

"So, no punishment for me?" Darkness said to me with such disappointment on her face.

"Nope," I said back.

"Well, who's hungry here? Because I surely am. I didn't eat since breakfast because our quest took so long to complete, and because of all of the travelling we did to get there and get back."

"Great idea, Megumin. I think Darkness should make dinner this time. This is what you deserve for making us do this stupid quest." Aqua said at Darkness, who was still blushing from thinking about the punishment she had in mind from a few moments ago.

I wasn't against the idea of Darkness making us dinner, and I'm pretty sure nobody wanted to do it after what we did today. I was quite curious about what she could make us for dinner tonight. I hope it's a feast or something like that, I was so hungry as well, so I wasn't able to wait anymore.

"Well, since you guys all agree that I should be the one to make us our food, then I'm glad to make myself useful. I'm going to check the markets in town to get food for our meal. See you later."

As Darkness was in town to get some groceries, the rest of us were in the mansion waiting for her to come back with the food. Aqua was taking a bath upstairs while me and Megumin were sitting on the couch next to each other.

"Kazuma?"

"Yes, I'm Kazuma."

"Stop saying that I'm trying to tell you something important."

"Oh. Sorry, Megumin. Yes, what would you like to tell me?" I said while I was scratching the back of my head.

"I wanted to tell you sorry about today's explosion. I didn't know the lizard was resistant to explosion, I made myself useless by doing my explosion magic too soon. So I hope you're not mad at me. I hope one day you will forgive me for this mistake. If you don't, I promise I would do anything so Kazuma could forgive me. I will do anything for you."

Ok, first, what is wrong with her right now. Why would I be mad for that? It's not like she would have known the lizard would not have died from her explosion, and it's not like nothing can't survive Megumin's explosion. But she was talking about doing anything so... NO!!! Wake up, Kazuma! It's not the time to be a greedy pervert. We are still not ready for that yet. Focus on the things that are more important than having your first time with your girlfriend. First, I have to calm her down before she's too desperate and try to do something that she wouldn't think to do in any case.
