Windmeer Pack is a decently sized pack - neither big nor small - with a wide variety of wolves, despite being run by Dutch bloodlines since it's foundation. Windmeer is one of many packs that was established during the settlement of America, and it was founded by Dutch settlers who'd left the Windmolen pack in Denmark (Windmolen literally translates to Windmill in English) which is still running today. Though relations between Windmeer and Windmolen are positive, little contact is actually shared between the two packs, save for when members of either pack travel overseas. Located in Upstate New York, relatively close to the main city, this is where the Windmeer pack has been since their inception. They helped found New Amsterdam - now New York City - behind the scenes, their names kept out of charters to protect the identity of werewolves and the supernatural.

The Windmeer is currently run by the Peleten family, which despite the name, is directly descended from the first Alpha's of this pack, just obviously with outside bloodlines mixed in. The current Alpha is a man by the name of Josha Peleten, and the supposed heir is his son Wrexen Josha Peleten. Alpha Josha's mate is from the Windmolen pack.

The Windmeer pack is a fairly neutral pack overall, with a few allies here and there. Though a fairly powerful generation is currently rising up - the mating of Alpha Josha and his mate yielded powerful children - very few have sought out their allyship. Not for anything against Windmeer, but the pack is rather out of the way of most werewolves, and is known to frequent the city itself and mix with humans, though little to none in the pack take on human mates. However, the Windmeer pack can feel a change in the winds, and are seeking out allies now.

Speaking of changes in the wind, much like some wolves in the Brokenridge pack, the Alpha bloodline is special: they can interpret the winds. No direct words or prophecies, but more so omens and feelings, with the occasional whisper which can be interpreted clearly. The gift is stronger in some than others; it's typically stronger in the more spiritual and religious wolves of this bloodline. It's how the pack - both this one and their parent pack - got their names.

Known for taking in rogues who need a home, Windmeer is a safe haven of sorts. The opposite of the Nightwalker's in that regard, Windmeer wolves are fairly welcoming to newcomers. Wolves are properly vetted before being granted a membership to the pack, but they treat their guests justly and fairly.

A politically savvy pack, they have stayed neutral through every major war that has broken out in the country - save for the Civil War - and has remained neutral in every war fought specifically between werewolves. Like their Dutch roots, Windmeer is a largely peaceful pack, though fight and defend themselves when needed. Despite that, their wolves are well-trained, and taught how to work as a unit.

Windmeer is not a pack to be underestimated, though many do due to the relatively peaceful and removed life the pack has lead. But they like being underestimated, it means they have an advantage.
