Radha was giving Sundari words of warning as she was getting ready to leave. "Be careful, Sundari. Make sure you keep your wits about you while you're out and about," Radha said.
Sundari raised her eyebrow at Radha's warning and replied, "Radha, it's just a market. I think I can handle it."
"I know, Sundari, but there are a lot of unsavory characters around. Just be careful, that's all I'm saying," Radha said, looking at her with concern.
Sundari sighed. "I'll be careful, Radha," she promised. "But why can't you come with me?""I'm sorry, Sundari, but I have a lot I need to do today. I just don't have the time to come with you," Radha replied.
Simba jumped in, "Can I come with you, Sundari!" Sundari laughed and said, "Of course, you can come with me!"
Sundari then turned to Radha and said, "If Rudransh asks about me, just tell him I'm in the bathroom."
Radha seemed hesitant. "I don't know if I can lie to the king, Sundari. I'm scared of the him," she said.
Sundari reassured her, "Don't worry, Radha. Nothing will happen."
Sundari and Simba left the palace quickly, knowing that Rudransh would not be happy if he caught them. They made their way to the busy market. The market was full of people, noise, and the smell of fresh fruits and other delicious foods. Sundari and Simba went on a shopping spree, buying soap, clothes, and various other things.
Sundari almost forgot she needed cotton for her upcoming menstruation.
"Sundari, you need to stop spending money on useless things like hairpins. You need the essentials too!"
As they continued to meander through the market, they noticed that everyone was suddenly very quiet and moving towards the sides of the street. Sundari and Simba followed suit, not wanting to be caught by whatever was coming. As they stood to the side, they noticed a crowd beginning to form. Suddenly, they heard a loud trumpet, signaling the approach of royalty.
Sundari and Simba peered through the crowd to see who was coming. They soon saw a group of stunningly dressed people approaching on horseback.
Sundari gasped, "Is that Royalty of something?"
Simba replied, "Yes, it is!"
Sundari and Simba watched as the group of royals made their way past them. They marveled at the beautiful dresses, jewelry, and the elegance of their movements. Sundari even spotted some cotton, and they made their way over to buy it.
As they continued to walk through the market, Sundari noticed that something was bothering Simba. "What's wrong?" she asked.
Simba hesitated before replying, "I just can't help but think that we spent too much money on things we don't really need. And what about Rudransh? Will he be angry with us for sneaking out like this?"
Sundari put her hand on Simba's arm.
"Don't worry so much. Let's enjoy ourselves. It's not every day that we get to come to the market like this."
Simba smiled and decided to just enjoy their time together in the market. They continued to walk around, trying different foods, buying more jewelry, and marveling at all the different sights and sounds of the marketplace.
Suddenly, Sundari remembered Rudransh and their lie. "I hope Radha has remembered to cover for me," she said nervously.
Simba laughed, "Don't worry, she'll do fine. Radha is a smart woman."
Sundari and Simba stood off to the side of the road and watched as the crowd started to form. They were curious to see what was happening and why everyone was moving to the side. Suddenly, they heard a trumpet and realized that some royalty was passing through.Sundari and Simba watched as the carriage passed by, surrounded by guards. They tried to see who was inside, but the curtains were drawn.
