Well, today its happening.

My family is coming over.

I hope Opal and Emi are prepared as ever, and hopefully nothing goes wrong.

I head to the maid's quarters to check on them, I can't be too sure.

Coming in, I only see Emi sitting on the bed, Cheddar on her lap, cage next to her on the bed.

"Poke! Poke! Ha! You like that? You like it when I poke you? Poke!" Emi says playfully as she gently pokes Cheddar.

Cheddar squeaks back at her.

Then she notices me.

"Oh, hello master! Is there anything I can do for you?"

"Just asking if you are ready, my family comes today."

"I'm ready, just doing my duties and taking care of Cheddar, but i'll be ready for when your family comes, especially for Daniel!"

"Alright, you just keep doing you, they will be here in the afternoon, and they will stay for a night."

She nods at me and picks up Cheddar.

"Oop! Back in your cage you go." Emi says as she puts Cheddar in the cage.

I say goodbye and head downstairs, I think Opal is busy with some chores there.

I see her with a spray bottle and a wipe in the living.

"Hello, master, is there anything?"

"My family is coming today, are you ready?"

"Why do you think i'm cleaning?" She lets out a soft laugh.

I chuckle.

"That's good, Opal. And if I may ask, is Cheddar a bother to you?"

"The rat that Emi has? You allowed it, master, I can't comment on that."

"Ok, i'll be in the study upstairs if you need me."

I head back upstairs to the study. All my work has already been done, I worked overtime to get this day free for my family visit.

Poetry truly inspires me, that is what I actually wanted to become. A poet.

But as my parents refused to let it happen, and now i'm a business man with poetry as a side hobby.

What should I write?

I should take inspiration from what surrounds me, that should make a somewhat decent poem.

I start writing:

In shadows deep, where secrets lie,
A worried heart, with burdened sigh.
A soul entwined in mystic lore,
Two maids, not human, at his door.

In hushed whispers, the walls do tell,
Of beings strange, within the swell.
Their presence hidden, like a veil,
Yet trembling fear, like leaves, turns pale.

With every glance, a furtive gaze,
I guard the truth in secret ways.
Non-human maids with eyes that gleam,
A secret dance in moonlight's dream.

Well, its not the best poem, but i'm happy with it.

Its time.

I'm in the front garden waiting for my family.

And so, I see 2 cars pull up in front of me.

One is my dad's car, the other is my grandparents from my mom's side.

Daniel runs to me.

"Big bro! Big bro! Are opal and Emi free? I want to play!"

"Haha, find out for yourself when we get in, little buddy."
