After a month of journey by water, they finally landed at White Harbour, where three horses and a dozen of Stark soldiers were waiting for them.
Kira was visibly at ease in the new environment. Lysarra pet her head and thought to herself "maybe we are really going to feel at home here."
After an additional fortnight, Winterfell's gates finally came in sight. A small party of knights was awaiting them.
As they approached, a muscular boy with thick dark hair and a matching beard got off his horse.
His eyes immediately met Lysarra's. They kept staring at eachother as she and the three targaryens got off their horses.
"My princes" The boy bowed his head acknowledge them. Then, he moved his gaze once again on the girl, his eyes wide.
After a brief silence, he whispered "Sister"
He ran to her and engolfed her in a hug. "You're finally home."
Despite not expecting his reaction, Lysarra was relieved. She returned the hug.
Once he released her, he introduced himself formally: "I'm Cregan Stark, lord of Winterfell, and I'm honoured to welcome you back home after all these years"
She studied him; they both indeed look similar, with dark hair in stark contrast with their pale skin, a lean yet muscular figure and grey, big eyes.
Cregan's direwolf and Kira seemed to instantly form a connection, and the Stark lord smiled when she let hime pet her.
Then he approaced the Rogue Prince: "Thank you, my prince. Thank you for finding her and thank you for bringing her home. The North and I are indebted to you."
"I just wanted her to be home and safe." It was true. In the months preceding the journey, as he often visited the girl in Yunkay, he had grown fond of her, until he got to care about her as she was her own.
After a bit of small talk about the journey, she bid the Targaryens goodbye, with the promise of joining them on Dragonstone in a year's time to celebrate her wedding.
But, for the time being, she just wished to enjoy the home she had dreamed about for so long and learn more about the North and spend time with her finally found family.
Lucerys left her a small gift as he departed: a silver pin in the shape of a direwolf, her house's sigil. She thanked him for the small gesture; they were going to have a happy marriage, she could tell. The boy was always kind and gentle with her, even tho courting a woman was clearly a new experience for him.
She could grow to appreciate him, find a friend in him and maybe, she thought even love him, in the hope of forgetting the girl she left back in the other continent.
