After the three Targaryen princes had left her alone, Lysarra opened her closet and got dressed. She put on a cloack, gathered her things in a satchel and got out of the brothel.

She moved swiftly across the city streets, her mind clouded by many doubts and thoughts, and she headed for the training centre, the place where she had spent the majority of her days while growing up.

Her Master, Xaro, was a ruthless, cunning and ambitious man. His ancestors built their small fortune thanks to trades with the Valyrian Empire and, of course, slavery. His family was not, however, one of the most powerful in Yunkai. He built his small empire mostly by himself, by outsmarting his opponents, for Xaro had understood something that others did not consider; he exploited the only resource that the world was endlessly full of: girls, for girls are often invisible, not considered, and many men do not think them able to outsmart them. Terrible mistake.

Xaro created a small army of little girls: he gathered from the streets, he fed them, he made them train, he offered them a roof over their heads in exchange for their services.

So, he invested in the creation of many pleasure houses all across the city, which beyond earning him tons of money, allowed his little creations to inflitrate amongst the common sex-workers to take care of "special customers". In fact, he sent there his political or economical opponents and rivals, offering them a night of pleasure as a gift. There they were met insted by one of his girl-spies or assassins, which would try to gather secrets for their Master or would eliminate the "client".

This way, Xaro obtained uncontested power in the city. He was always one step ahead of everyone, for he knew everyone's secrets. Even thought Yunkai was officially ruled by hierarchs, he was the actual puppeteer behind everything. The situation escalated to the point where no one could even leave the city without his permission.

Also, thanks to all the gold he earned from his brothels and slaves trading, which he increased following his ancestors' traditions, he built himself a small army of slave-soldiers which were completely loyal and obedient to him. He started hosting big tournaments in the city's Great Pit, forcing the best of said soldiers to fight against champions from the other free cities. The bets he placed on his own fighters made up his most consistent income, so he would do anything to keep them in their best shape: he forced them to train, he fed them generously and he allowed them to own a small bedroom each in the Training Centre he built for them.

She entered her small bedroom, placed in the slaves' quarters, and she was immediately met by a warm, wet tongue licking her face. "Hello to you, too!" Lysarra greeted the wolf, chuckling. Kira was a grey female werewolf with striking blue eyes. The girl did not rimember how the two of them had met, probably they both came from Westeros. The two of them had grown together and had built an unbreakable bond during the years. Lysarra often had the feeling that her wolf was en extension of herself, that they both shared one soul.

Xaro had let her keep the wolf only to have them fight together in the Pit: it was an unusual spectacle, but the public was amused by the sight of a human and a beast cooperating, so their fame grew among the poeple of Yunkay and the other cities of the Bay. Soon enough, the two of them were known across half of the free cities, earning the title of "She-wolves".

Under her werewolf's scrutiny, Lysarra immediately went to check all of her daggers' stealths. As always, she found a small piece of paper inside one of them. A smile formed on her face as she opened the note to read "Our place. At sunset.". "Of course, princess" Lysarra smirked. Her and Assia had communicated this way for years, meeting in secret on a small beach near the docks, trying to escape Xaro's omnipresent eye.

The sun had already begun to set when she had entered the Training Centre, so she said goodbye to Kira and sprinted out the door, trying to think of a way to explain her departure to her beloved Assia.
