Uchiha Yomi

Chapter 12

Previously on Uchiha Yomi,

I am supposed to learn and perform the fire jutsu of our clan tomorrow and I am hoping in succeeding to prove that I'm also one of the Uchiha clan members...

(Still in Sasuke's POV)

I was too excited last night and I had trouble sleeping, I hope this doesn't affect my performance.. I got out of bed and went to prepare for the day, after having breakfast, I saw Yomi standing on the side of the entry door, I greeted her and she greeted me back, as I went out the door, she spoke

"An Uchiha member is only seen as an adult when they can use the Katon, the Uchiha family trait is the manipulation of fire and the mind of an Uchiha.., so be sure to be able to do this jutsu"

I nodded and ran to the lake, unable to contain my excitement, father was already waiting there, I greeted him and soon father showed me how to do the fire jutsu, although he showed it to me only once, I remembered how to do it, it would be shameful for an Uchiha clan member to not be able to remember simple handseals,

After showing me the handseals, father had blown a giant fireball to the center of the lake, so that nothing can catch on fire, it was huge and it lasted for a few seconds, it was amazing..

"That's a basic Uchiha ninjutsu, Katon: Goukakyuu no jutsu, (Fire release: Great Fireball) you were taught the seals a while ago, to use this jutsu, you must draw chakra from your mouth into your chest, and hold it there. Then immediately blow it right out." father explained

It looked fairly easy, I know I can do this, father is directly teaching me this jutsu, which means at last he has noticed me as well, I will fulfill his expectations... I will make a big fireball too..

Well... that's what I thought about, until I actually performed the jutsu, only a small tiny flame appeared, and father didn't say anything for a while and gave me a disappointed face,

"... You haven't reached Itachi's nor Yomi's level, maybe for you it was still too early"

Father then walked away.. I remembered Yomi's words this morning..

So I decide to practice the jutsu again and again, I didn't go home to sleep and continued practicing, and finally after a long time, I managed to finally make the jutsu work out,

I immediately went home to show father, I found him walking on the hallways of the mansion, I then called out to him

"Father please come with me, the jutsu, it worked out. So I'd like you to come and see."

The both of them went back to the lake, Sasuke did the hand seals and blew a large fireball from his mouth, it was even bigger than the one Fugaku showed him. Sasuke looked back at Fugaku to see his reaction, Fugaku was speechless. He turned his back onto Sasuke and Sasuke was crest-fallen, thinking he had disappointed his father again.

"As expected, you are my child.."

After Fugaku said that, Sasuke tried to hold back his grin.

"You did well. From now on, you may shamelessly wear the family crest on your back. You must now improve and then you can soar to great heights." Fugaku said, walking back to the house

"Understood!!!" Sasuke shouted in happiness

"Also, I will say one thing, do not follow after your siblings.." Fugaku then left without saying anything else

Later that night, in his room. Sasuke contemplated on his father's words, he thought about how his brother and little sister used to treat him. He then remembered the incident from a while ago

'From that day... I don't believe that he is the same brother as before, even Yomi changed.'

The next day, Sasuke saw Itachi about to leave the house

"Nii-san.. Can you train me with shuriken today?"

"I'm busy, it'd be better if you asked father."

"But you are the best with shuriken, even a kid like me knows that.. You always treat me like a burden."

Itachi motioned for him to come closer and poked Sasuke's forehead with his fingers

"Forgive me Sasuke.. maybe another time.. You can always train with Yomi, I don't have time to look after you today"

"Always saying 'Forgive me Sasuke' and then poking my head, I never see the day when you say today" (NO, NOT TODAY. NO NO NO. lol.. more like NEVER EVER my fellow ahgase and army please comment) said Sasuke, while rubbing his forehead

Itachi left without another word

'That was good.. it was like the old Itachi'

He then went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Yomi was already eating there. He sat down on his side and began to eat. Yomi finished in a while and washed the dishes, not saying a single word to anyone.

"Father... what does he really think of me, Yomi and Itachi?" asked Sasuke

"Why ask this all of a sudden?" Mikoto asked him, turning to him and wiping her hands on her apron

"Before.. father said to me 'As expected of my child'. He was always saying that to Itachi and Yomi, because of that, it was great that he said it to me."

"Well that's good isn't it?"

"But lately things haven't been good between father and Itachi, not to mention Yomi who is now very distant.. am I only a replacement for them?"
