Im so sorry I haven't written and published anything for a literal century I've been so busy as of late so please forgive me 🥲🙏🙇‍♀️🙇‍♀️

ANYWAYS, I hope you enjoy this cute Christmas chapter I made for the Christmas season, and I really hope everyone has had a good year and will have a nice Christmas. And I promise you that when things seem to be going south, everything will get better. Just believe in yourself and so many people love you 🫶

"That's the most pathetic Christmas tree I've ever seen in my life." Jacks walked into the room with the classic scowl on his face. He leaned against the wooden wall of the Hollow's inn, looking at the tree up and down in a judgemental look. His face soured when he saw the 'pathetic' excuse for the sad Christmas tree and the bright pink decorations.

"Don't be such a Scrooge Jacks, I think it's perfect." Evangeline smiled brightly when she saw her work of art, she was quite proud of it and it reminded her of the Christmas season that she cherished dearly when her parents were alive. When Evangeline was little her mother and father used to help decorate the Christmas tree with her, putting on any type and colour of ornaments on their grand Christmas tree. Although the tree looked like a circus after they were done, it was always the star on top of the tree that always stood out the most.

Evangeline walked past Jacks and towards the box that was filled with decorations. What caught Evangeline's eye the most was a glimpse of the crystallised star lying at the bottom of the box. Evangeline could barely see it peaking out, so she dug her hand into the box and rummaged through it.

"What are you doing Little Fox?" Jacks walked over to her, placing his hands on her hips, giving them a light squeeze. He peered over her shoulder trying to catch a glimpse of what she was searching for.

"Grabbing the star—" Evangeline finally caught a grasp on it and pulled the crystal star out of the box. "Can you please help me put the star on top of the tree love?"

"Oh? You want my help, Little Fox?" Jacks leaned in closer to her ear, talking in a low tone.

Evangeline shuddered when she felt his hot breath tickle her neck. Her heart raced a million miles an hour, it was beating so quickly she was convinced it wanted to rip out of her chest and leap into Jacks's grasp. Before Evangeline could say anything else, she was suddenly lifted from the ground into Jacks's arms. She yelped and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her like a toddler towards the Christmas tree. She grinned slightly and reached up with the star in her hand, placing it on top of the tree.

"It's perfect!" Evangeline smiled warmly. If it could, her smile could light up a whole room in just a blink of an eye. Jacks smirked and placed Evangeline gently on her feet, he held her tightly as she admired the Christmas tree.

"Not as beautiful as you, snowflake." Jacks traced his finger under her jaw line, tracing the smooth define lines of her porcelain skin. He tilted her chin towards him and kissed her deeply on the lips. Evangeline moaned softly, wrapping her arms around Jacks's neck. She leaned into the kiss, pressing her lips against his harder to deepen the kiss as the passion grew quickly. Evangeline gently bit down on his bottom lip, causing Jacks to let out a groan. His hands traveled to the small of her back, gliding up to her rose-gold hair. He grabbed a fistful of her precious locks and pulled at it softly.
