Mikey had just finished crying in his room. He just wanted to be happy. Mikey wiped away his tears and put on a wobbly smile. He needed to stay strong. For his brothers. He would fix them. He would make them happy again, and then maybe Mikey could be happy, too.
Mikey headed out of his room and towards Donnie's lab. He knocked and waited for Donnie to answer. Donnie's head poked out. Yes, Mikey? Donnie asked. Do you want to hang out? Mikey asked hopefully. Donnie frowned. Sorry, Mikey. I am very busy. Maybe see if Raph wants to hang out with you. Donnie suggested before shutting Mikey out.
Mikey frowned but took Donnie's advice and headed for the dojo where he knew Raph and Leo would be. He was right. Raph was angrily punching the punching bag, and Leo was meditating.
Hey guys, what are you up to? Mikey asked, walking further into the dojo. Leo ignored him, and Raph grunted. What do you want, Mikey? Raph asked, irritated. I wanted to see if you guys wanted to hang out. Mikey said. Can't you see we're busy?! Raph asked angrily. You can't take a break? Mikey asked. Leo opened his eyes and looked at Mikey. Mikey, Raph's right. We're busy. Maybe we can hang out later. Leo said before closing his eyes and going back into his meditation. Mikey frowned. Why can't we hang out now? He asked. Raph grunted. Go away, Mikey. Raph said. Mikey sighed in defeat. I'll see you guys later, I guess. Mikey said, heading out of the dojo more sad than when he left his room.
Mikey headed to the living room and broke down crying on the couch. Mikey didn't know that while he broke down crying, so did his brothers.
Donnie had stopped working and was crying in his lab.
Leo was crying silently in meditation.
Raph had stopped punching the bag and was trying to angrily wipe away his tears.
Every one of the turtles was sad. It seemed things would never go back to normal.
Being the prideful teens they were, they hid their feelings. It was clear, though, that everyone was down.
The rest of the day went by painfully slow, and the brothers ended up crying themselves to sleep.
No one knew of the goddess watching them from above.
The goddess shook her head in disapproval. She smiled sadly. These boys need my help. I really shouldn't help them it would break the rules, but I just can't stand to see them so sad.
The goddess read the thoughts of the boys and smiled. She had the perfect way to help. The goddess made sure everyone was fully asleep before going into her human form and entering the lair.
The goddess entered Leo's room and smiled. Leo wanted control over things. The goddess could give him this. With a smile, the goddess gently kissed Leo's forehead, allowing her spell to transfer into his mind.
She then quietly left his room and headed to Raph's. Raph wanted to protect something. The goddess could give him this. She leaned over and gently kissed Raph's forehead, once more transferring her spell. She smiled as he shuffled in his sleep, murmuring something she couldn't understand.
The goddess left and headed to Donnie's room. She entered and sighed when she saw the poor boy had fallen asleep at his desk. She lifted him and placed him in his bed, making sure he was tucked in. Donnie wanted something to love that would sidetrack him. The goddess could give him this. She kissed his forehead and leaned into whispering something to him. You may be smart, Donatello, but for your own good, I hope you never figure out how to reverse my spell. The goddess whispered, knowing he subconsciously heard her even if he wouldn't remember.
The goddess had saved the best for last as she slipped into Mikey's room. Oh, Michaelangelo. So kind. So forgiving. So understanding. The goddess said gently and booped the sleeping boy on his nose. Mikey just wanted to make his brothers happy. The goddess could give him this. She had already worked her magic, and all Mikey would have to do is follow along.
The goddess would leave Mikey untouched by her magic. The other three would take care of him.
The goddess left his room. There was one thing left to do.
The goddess headed to the empty guest room. In a flash, the room was transformed into the perfect nursery.
There was one thing that could be said. Everything in the nursery was sized to fit Mikey.
The goddess admired her work for a minute before disappearing in a flash, sure she had helped the family.
One thing was for sure. Mikey was in for a surprise.
Things in the Hamato household would never be the same again. Only time would tell if that was a good thing or not.
