(Third person)

Hours went by, and the next day, Four woke up at 6:00 AM.

Sigh.

He should remember to close the blinds tonight.

Well, no use in trying to go back to sleep now, that never worked for him. And the it wasn't that comfortable anyway, so there wouldn't be much enjoyment in that. Four practically rolled off the side of his living-room couch and dragged himself into the bathroom.

Okay, Agent 4. You've fought vicious Octoweapons in Octo Canyon, helped Deep Cut through a Big Run in Splatsville, and even survived a Glowfly wave in high tide! You can definitely handle social interaction like a normal person instead of acting like a complete weirdo!

"Hello?"

"GWHEJGCBHWEGVBEHXWG-" SMG3 had no idea how the FUCK Agent 4 made that sound but whatever. "I mean-" Four suddenly remembered his phone and pulled out Goggles Translates.

(I wanted to know if you knew any scripts that aren't Runic)

Round >>> Runic

{I wanted to know if you know of any scripts other than Runic}

SMG3's eyes lit up a little bit at the sight of this amazing technological advancement. It was horribly inaccurate 40% of the time, but he didn't know that so it didn't matter.

{I know most Sign}

Round <<< Runic

(I know most of the signs)

Agent 4 was a little confused, before remembering oh wait Goggles Translates is kinda crap. He switched to the tab with the different Scripts, and held out his phone to SMG3 again, along with another translated message, 'Which Scripts do you know?' Thankfully this translation was accurate, and Three scrolled through the list for a moment.

However, the Octoling had almost reached the end of the web page by now. Now there were just the uncommon Scripts, there way no way he would know-

Sign

"...What?" Four looked at the Sign Script in confusion. "Sign? But you..." He stopped for a second and cleared his throat. "You really know Sign Scri-" this was so weird- he couldn't take it seriously. Sign wasn't meant to be spoken aloud, so it sounded awkward and unfamiliar to even someone who had grown up knowing every script...

SMG3 was thankful to hear that Four knew Sign, and he answered the Inkling's question. "Well, when I was a kid, me and my friends had a secret language. We all decided to learn Sign because, well, no one else would know it. We only have Runic." For a second, his expression shifted to one of regret, maybe remembering something from Octo Canyon- but a moment later, he was back to his usual self. "Though, Sign's the only one I know."

Well... it wasn't perfect, Four supposed, but it'll do for now.
