It's been a month since the conversation the mother-daughter had. Next week is the resume of their training and Lisa is so excited. This will occupy her unproductive time this vacation. However this morning, her mother went out. When she came back, she has a duffle bag in her hand a little girl behind her. The little girl is about 7 years old"Goodmorning, darling. Remember Mr. and Mrs. Kim I introduced you on your ninth birthday? This is their daughter, Jennie. She will be staying here with us until her parents came back. They have something important to attend to." Her mother informed her
"What about the training? We will still resume next week, right?"
"Oh yes, about that. We will resume once our little guest here went home"
"What? You can't do that to me, mom"
"We will resume by the time Jennie went home" she said in authorative tone that said 'end of discussion'
Lisa glared darkly at the little girl who innocently staring at her
"Lisa, stop glaring at the poor kid. You know, why don't you come here and help me. Here, walk her to her room and put it inside. It's heavy she couldn't carry" her mom handed her the bag and Lisa did not reply but obey her mother. She went upstairs with Jennie behind her
"This will be your room while you're staying here and here's your bag. Push it inside if you can't carry it" Lisa left after speaking
Jennie stared at the back of the retreating figure. She bent and pushed the heavy bag inside the room. She feels weird about the girl. She does not know what she had done wrong for her to act arrogantly to her. After she successfully pushed the bag into the room, she went downstairs. She saw the weird girl watching in the living room so she went and sat too on the couch to watch the movie with the weird girl. Lisa glared at her before resumed to watch
"Kids, later I'll go out because I have some work to finish at the company. I will prepare food so you guys won't be hungry. I'll eat first before leaving." She left to prepare at the kitchen
By the time Mrs. Manoban left, it's 6 pm. Maybe she will be home at 10 or later
"I hate you here. Did you know its because of you, my training got delayed? I will not be having my training because of you" Lisa said straightforwardly to the girl who look at her innocently
"I'm sorry" she replied. Jennie is a smart and innocent kid. She's excellent in her academics just as Lisa. However being too smart doesn't mean she's not a child anymore. She's a fast learner. But she's too innocent when it comes to reality. She's still like a baby who is so innocent. Being confronted by the girl infront of her, she understood what she said because of the word 'hate'. She knows its not a good thing so she said sorry.
Lisa stared at her dumbfounded. However, she still glared at the little girl for appearing in such an important situation. She had been waiting for this for a whole month.
"When are you leaving?" Lisa asked
The little girl stared at her, trying to understand her words. Instead of replying, she remember that every time she's not feeling good, her mommy or daddy always put her hands on their palm and caresses it. So, that what she did to the weird girl. She put her hand onto her palm and caresses it gently. Lisa on the other hand, didn't have the time to react immediately. She sat on the couch, frozen by the girls act. It took her almost two whole minutes to came back to her senses. She pulled back her hand and yelled at the girl
"What the hell are you doing?! Don't touch me!"
Jennie's eyes reddened and she quickly turned around. She doesn't want anyone to see her crying. She sobbed slightly. She doesn't get it why the weird girl always got mad at her. She even yelled at her face when she was just trying to calm her down. And Lisa was once again dumbfounded by the little girl's actions.
"Why are you crying? It should be me who has the right to cry because you delayed my training. And you touched me"
Lisa didn't hear any response but she could hear the heavy sobs of the little girl. So, she panicked internally.
"Do not cry or else I'll leave you here alone in the dark" after hearing what the weird girl said, Jennie wiped the tears in her face and stop sobbing then she turned around.
After seeing that she stopped crying, Lisa stood up and went to the kitchen. She is hungry since she is watching since afternoon. When she turned around, she's surprised to see the little girl followed her to the kitchen. She thinks that maybe because she's scared she will leave her. So Lisa went to the dining table with a little girl following her around. She set her plate down the table and started to eat.
While eating, she glanced at the little girl and found her staring at her.
"Why are you staring at me?" She got no response and the little girl still staring at her
She stood up and get another plate and put food on it
"Here, eat." She went back to her chair and glanced at Jennie who started eating.
After eating, Lisa went to the living room and turned off the tv. Its past 8 pm so she wants to rest.
Upon entering her room, she noticed something behind her and turned around. There, she saw the little girl following her behind.
"Why are you still following me? This is not your room. Go to your own room" she said to the little girl
"I'm scared" Jennie softly replied
It stunned Lisa.
"Why are you scared? You are a big girl now you should go to your room alone without anyone accompanying you"
"I'm scared" she repeated
"I don't care. Get the hell out and go to your room!" She spoke in a high tone that scare the little girl more
The little girl's eyes reddened and sob softly again. She wasn't used to being yelled at.
Lisa impatiently pushed her out of her room before she give in. She hate this girl so much. She's the reason for the delayed of her training.
When she pushed the girl out of ger room, she shut the door. And walked towards her bed. She just sat at her bed. For almost ten minutes she decided to get some water to help her ease the weird feeling she's having. When she open the door, she saw the little girl sat just outside her door, sobbing and crying silently. She was so shocked
"Why aren't you sleeping yet? I said go to your own room"
She doesn't get any response from the little girl.
