Boom boom boom, I banged my fist onto the bedroom door. "Wake up, Mario! Its time for school."
I'm 19 and I have my own 1 bedroom studio apartment. I manage to pay my bills by working at McDonald's Cleaning floors and at the Swap meet market. I take care of my 10 year old brother. I'm doing on-line school because I Don't have extra money to pay for a baby sitter and I can't leave him home by himself. My daily routine is hectic. I wake up at 7:00 am, Bring him to the school bus which is 3 blocks from my apartments, and then I'm off to work at 8:00 am. I work until 5 pm. That's when my little brother Mario gets back from school, and after school activities. I make him stay after just so I can have more work hours. I walk 13 blocks from my Job to his school to pick him up, Then we walk together all the way back home. I prepare dinner at 7:30 pm. and we eat together In the living room watching a movie on the floor. Then we're both off to bed at 9:00pm. We sleep in the same bed, cause I cant Afford another. This is my everyday life. I'm finishing my senior year on-line in 3 months. I got held back in my freshman year for missing so many school days.
