Formidable Love

CHAPTER 3

I looked around the cafeteria and my eyes got fixated on to a deep brown eyes and I could sense the whole world seeming to shut itself out. I soon got out of the captivity of his eyes when I think Lola tapped my shoulder or was it Ron, "Were you guys just eye fucking each other or what?" Lola said as Ron gagged over her words. "No one's eye fucking anyone, the only fuck we're getting is getting fucked by the zoology results" I said to which Lola simply rolled her eyes.

We were on our way walking to the chemistry lab with a sulking Lola because she scored 8 in zoology and also over the fact that I scored 3 marks more than her on the other hand Ron was still happy with a 4 out of 20. We seated ourselves waiting for the teacher to come when Lola stood up looking around and asked "Where's the lab coat Al?" " You were supposed to pick it up from the table" I said "I thought you were bringing it with you when you placed it on the table" "Yes I did it for you to pick it up so you don't forget!" I whisper shouted.

As Lola rushed herself out of the lab after a second or two Montanari entered with our lab teacher Mrs Moretti, settling her books on the table I could see Montanari debating where to sit as the only idle seats were the one beside me and the other with that of Sheryl. Mrs Moretti placed her hand at the back of his and asked him to sit beside me so I had to speak up "Uhh actually Lola's already sitting here she went out for her lab coat" "He needs you more than her Alessia as he just joined you could help him with everything" Mrs Moretti said and motioned him towards my seat.

Lola walked in after a minute and was told by Mrs Moretti to sit with Sheryl, first a little surprised then she winked at me when she realized who I was sitting next to and nudged me as she went past us. The class soon started with Mrs Moretti apparently telling us about titration, half of the class dozing off while the other half already in a deep slumber and fortunately Montanari's strong perfume kept me awake if it not been his perfume I would too be drooling on the table just like Sheryl right now.

His sudden voice startled me a bit " I apologize for taking your friend's seat but yes I do need you more than her" he said "You don't need to apologize for it and don't worry I'll help you with the study materials and all" he nodded to what I said and whispered a small thanks.

We then were asked to perform the experiment which she just taught, Montanari helped me get all all the products needed for the experiment with the accurate amount asked. We had to fill in the tube with the liquid by sucking it with our mouths and then fill the flask with it so I placed my mouth over the tube sucking it till the required amount but before I could realize I have sucked more than the limited quantity,I sucked in the liquid.
I frantically ran towards the basin with Montanari following me and I spit the liquid out and started coughing as Montanari held my hair away from my face and rubbed my back.

I was told sit for a while to see if I feel any uneasiness as Montanari stood infront of me towering my body with his forehead creased with lines of worry "I was an idiot not to notice the liquid going above the intake level" " I was very much focused on you but I just looked up for a split second and" I interrupted him "Chill its okay I ain't dying with it" I said laughing "Looks like you're okay if you're laughing " he said examining to which i nodded.

I could see Lola standing at a distance from us assuring whether I was okay or not, I also know the stupid reason for her to not come to me is to watch Montanari talk to me, she's secretly shipping the two of us and I could totally get it with the look on her face. Montanari left saying that he's going to fetch a bottle of water for me as Lola practically ran towards me with content to see "love brewing" between the two of us that she likes to call " I think someone is worried for a lil Al" she said dramatically holding onto her chest "lovely isn't it?" Lola said wiggling her brows when Montanari came up behind her as she was going to continue saying some shit "You're back!" I said forcing a smile " I think Ron just called me lemme just go and check" Lola excused herself saying that as he handed me the bottle and I chugged it down in one go "Thanks I needed to get the taste of that liquid away" and with that he gave me the brightest smile the world has ever seen I didn't know his face could do that.

The bell for the recess rang, Lola and I went together Ron usually excuse himself as he's busy making out with someone. We were walking to find ourselves a suitable seat when we found Montanari sitting all by himself and I knew exactly what was going inside that tiny head of hers before I could deny she dragged me with her "Hey, Al and I was wondering that you could use some company as we saw you sitting all by yourself only if it's okay with you"She said " My brother was supposed to join me in a few but there's enough room for the 4 of us please do sit" he motioned his hand towards the seat,
"If you don't mind I've got a few questions for you" Lola said suppressing her excitement as I kicked her foot from under the table and Montanari hummed to her "You're brother has always been a part of this school but you recently joined why's that?" She asked "It was a family issue and I wanted a change of place away from Italy and New Jersey seemed the right place" he said and almost immediately Lo fired another question I suppose she's got a huge ass list ready for him " What made you come back?" to which he answered with a slight hitch "I missed home" before Lola could fire another privacy invading question Enzo placed his hand on Montanari's shoulder "Brother" he said with a playful smile on his face.
