Jungkook POV

The energy that radiates from the boy is almost palpable. It beams throughout the room and it seems impossible to avoid.
He seems to be a bit taller than me, the build of his body, not fully developed yet, more on the smaller side with quite broad shoulders. He is obviously older since he has been in the singing group before me. His hair is dark brown with black roots, like it was dyed some time ago.
The most striking thing about him, however, is his laugh. It stretches across his entire face and sparkles through his eyes. It's big, bright and boxy and compliments the rest of his handsome face perfectly.

He looks at me, gives a short 'hi' in my direction while waving his hand loosely and apologizes again to Ha-yoon while rushing out.
Ha-yoons gaze follows him. As soon as he disappears out the door, she lets out a deep, slightly desperate sigh. When she catches my questioning look, she explains: 'That was your seventh member, Kim Taehyung, by the way.' When she notices that I still have questionmarks in my eyes, she adds, 'He arrived yesterday and his tardiness is already very impressive. But enough of that, let's go further, we still have some time left for you!'.
So I return to the ballad for the rest of the hour, my mind still awestruck by the bundle of energy I just encountered.

Taehyung's POV:

My first day at the new school went by in a haze. Jimin took me with him in the morning and introduced me to the directorate. As he had predicted, we were in the same class. I immediately noticed that Jimin was very popular with his classmates, especially the female ones. He also has some close friends at school, as he explained to me, but not all of them were in our class. During the break he introduced me to everyone and his friends' curiosity towards me made the time fly by very fast. I can very well imagine myself fitting in easily with his circle of friends.

After school we quickly rushed back to 'our' apartment. On the way, Jimin explained to me the rough weekly structure of school and company hours that we get on our schedules every week. Fortunately, most weeks are structured similarly and there are rarely any deviations. In the first year before our debut we are allowed to go home almost every other weekend. Most of the time, the weekend trips home are the same for all members. However, you may be asked to stay to catch up on lapses or improve certain skills (in which you are lagging behind).
In the first week after our arrival, which concerns me in this case, we have to stay. I am expected to familiarize myself with the premises and meet the members who are also here this weekend (except for Jimin himself since his brother is getting married, so he is allowed an extra weekend at home). That doesn't sound like a problem to me, as I'm extremely curious to see how the other members are anyway. I still only know Jimin, Yoongi and Hoseok. I got a little glimpse and a short greeting in the morning at the two oldest, who were introduced as Namjoon and Jin but I still don't know the last member, which Jimin and I share a room with. Jimin explained, that his name is Jungkook and he seems to be very shy and doesn't say that much.

Back at the company's building, we have time for a short snack and in order to change into more casual clothes, before we have to go to Ha-yoon's singing lessons. Although Jimin insists that time is short and we absolutely have to be on time, we are a little late because I unfortunately couldn't find my slippers in the hurry.
Yesterday I didn't have the time (or energy) to unpack my bag, so it took me a little longer to find the shoes in all the chaos I created in my Bag before school.

As we are the last to enter the room for the singing lesson, Ha-yoon looks at me disapprovingly and says, 'What did I tell you yesterday about punctuality?' When I smile at her apologetically (and hopefully full of charme), she adds, 'This is your first strike. The second will result in a warning and the third will result in serious consequences. The fact that you're new isn't an excuse.'
Puh, pretty strict here!
I vow to get better and throw my small bag (which is filled with water, smartphone and wallet - you never know) into the corner before joining the other boys. Besides Jimin and me, there are 4 other boys present, all our age.
The rest of the lesson consists of various exercises in which our different vocal ranges are tested and brought into harmony with one another. I notice that Jimin's muscular appearance can easily mislead you, as his voice is the exact opposite - high, bright and soft. We complement each other quite well and I even get a compliment from Ha-yoon.
After the lesson, I leave the room relatively quickly with Jimin because he wants to show me a few important rooms and introduce me to other people before dinner. After he showed me the dance studio where we will mostly practice and introduced me to the main choreographer, we are on the way to the fitness room when I remember that my bag should still be in Ha-yoon's music room.
I apologize to him and we agree to just meet later for dinner, then I rush back. After getting lost in the labyrinth of corridors, I finally find myself in front of the music room (the right one!). Just as I'm about to enter, I notice that the door is already ajar and one of the most beautiful voices I've heard, so far, is coming out. I stop for a moment and listen, impressed. The voice is clear and bright and is served by a reserved power.
Wow!
I'm a little jealous because I'm aware that I'll never be able to create such clear tones in a high register with my voice, because I will always bring a certain depth with it.

Curiously I take a quick glance into the room and see a boy who I wouldn't have expected to have this voice.
He's obviously younger and seems to be a little shorter than me, with short, raven-black hair and big eyes, as far as I can see from my distance.
I listen intently for a few more minutes without being noticed by Ha-yoon or the boy. I finally break out of my trance and knock lightly on the open door, apologize to Ha-yoon and scurry to my bag. As I walk out I give the boy a quick 'Hi' and get a better look at him.
he is in fact a little smaller than me and obviously younger. His Body is thin and lean and seems to be still in the middle of puberty but nonetheless, you can see he is sporty. His eyes are even bigger than I could see from the distance and they have a very surprised, almost frightened, look in them. -Cute-
I rush outside and close the door behind me. After looking at the clock, which tells me that I still have some time before dinner, I decide to wait.
