"can i have four of those?" xaver asked, getting his wallet out to pay for the food before a voice interrupt him.
"what do you think you're doing?"
alex and xaver turned around to see a woman with groceries. he let out an annoyed groan before answering, "we can't eat now?"
"didn't know a murderer needed to eat, thought they'd be satisfied with just killing" julliette scoffed.
"haha funny, again with the killing thing. salty because you don't have anything to use against me?" he spat back, glaring at her for a second before the store call out his name to give him his ordered food.
"what did you-"
"let's go lex, i'm sure the others are hungry too" xaver said, cutting her words off as him and alex walk off.

"we're back" alex announced as he places down the food onto the dining table.
"finally.. i thought i was gonna die for a second" gray exaggerated. "why are you guys late though?" he asked as he took a seat.
"we met a crazy woman who came out of nowhere" xaver said, distributing the food amongst them.
"crazy woman?" rhemi asked.
"super crazy and annoying" xaver claimed.
gray hummed to himself as he does a thinking motion. "let me guess.. the investigator?" he said, taking a bite of his food after.
"bingo" xaver replied. "how did you know?" he asked, his curiousity rising.
"telepathy" gray joked and continued to eat.
they all just titter it off before they focus on filling their empty stomach.

as a day has passed by, they all had gathered in the meeting room. files were piled on the table along with papers and equipments required for their mission.
xaver who was reviewing the papers finally spoke up after a moment of silence. "so we already got the location of the target aswell as where the victims are kept, now we just have to check all equipments to make sure nothing goes wrong" he then walked up to the equipments and inspect every single one of it.
"looks like the equipments are good to go. rhemi, the vehicles?" xaver asked, looking at rhemi as he waits for an answer.
"i already got them, also got a back up vehicle incase the first one encounters a problem" rhemi answered.
"we'll proceed with the mission tomorrow then, anymore question or suggestions?" he asked for confirmation before making everything final.
gray raised his finger before asking, "do i tag along for this mission?" as he usually stayed behind to make sure he has the target location at all time.
"do you want to? if you do then go ahead, if not then you can stay here as usual" xaver replied as he packs the equipments into a bag, looking at gray for his answer after.
"i'll stay here, early day break" gray said which made the other three brother chuckled at his words.
a knock came from outside the door that left all the brothers curious as no one that they know has announced they were coming today, they each looked at each other with a questioning gesture. the door then opens to reveal their one and only aunt adeline.
"hey darlings, what are you guys up to?" she asked, coming inside the room and standing behind alex before tying his hair up.
"aunt adeline!" each of them exclaimed as they haven't seen her for a while, each getting up to hug her.
"what brings you here?" xaver asked after being the last one to hug her. cleaning up the piles of paper from the desk and setting them aside.
adeline squished the second oldest's cheeks before answering, "just wanted to see my babies, you're always so cold" she continues to stretch his cheeks. "i actually came because i heard you guys are going to take a break? is that true?" she asked.
xaver tries to get his aunt's hands off his cheeks as the other brothers were busy taking pictures of him to use as blackmail. "i can tell you've been drinking and yes, we are going to take a break for a while" he gave up on removing his aunt's hands and let her do whatever she wants as there's no harm in it.
"you guys deserve it, if your dad gives you a hard time about it, just tell me okay. i'll find him to beat him up if i have to, for the sake of my own kids" she said before finally letting go, "alright, i have to go now so i'll visit you guys some other time again yeah?"
"you're not staying?" rhemi asked, his face clearly shows he's a bit sad that his aunt only came for a short while. "we have an extra room if you want to stay for a while" he added.
"awh i'd love to but i'm busy with work myself, i'm only able to come for a short while. be careful and have fun on your break okay" she replied, giving them each a peck on their cheek before waving at them as she walks out the door.
they all sat back down, sighing. they were all silent but had the same thought individually, as mature most of them can be, some part of them still misses having someone they can rely on. especially, an older family member.
xaver finally broke the silence after a while, "oh well, let's just focus on our last mission for now. okay guys?" he said, giving a pat on gray's shoulder before going out.
"i'm going to sleep the whole day definitely" gray said, going out along with alex and rhemi.
"me too" alex replied, stretching his arms out.
"video games for me or maybe drawing, depends on what my mood is" rhemi also joins into the conversation.
