TWO FACED

07 - THE FORCED OUTING

      after half an hour long drive to the mall, they finally arrived and xaver parked the car in the parking basement.

     xaver got out first and walked to the back of the car. he waited a few minutes for julliette to get out and when she didn't, he walked to her side of the car and opened the car door, "what's taking you so long?" he asked.

     julliette got out of the car after xaver opened the door and walked to the elevator, giving him a smug expression that is plastered on her face. xaver who was now left behind, closed the door as he gritted his teeth before tagging behind her.

     they arrived at the first floor where julliette got off the elevator to a book store, xaver lets her roam around in the book store while he looks at some books. 'books still doesn't interest me' he thought to himself.

     "reading doesn't suit you" julliette remarked, making xaver turns his head towards her.

     "not planning to" he replied. "i rather not have a common interest with you" he added before taking her newly shopping bag, knowing that if his mom founds out he lets a woman carry her own shopping bags, she'd scold him a ton. even if he doesn't want to, carrying it is better than hearing the same scolding over and over again.

     "ugh, you're so annoying xaver wong" julliette stated, storming off to go to other stores.

     "if it makes you feel better, i'll tell people you're such a smarty pants julliette whitlock" he teased as he follows behind her, loving the fact that he's getting on her nerves.

     alex, rhemi and gray all hanged around in the living room, they talked about random topics then eventually they wondered on how their brother is doing as he is out with the investigator right now which makes it more intriguing. 

     "i bet 5 bucks that they spent the whole time quarelling" grayson said, somewhat confident in his statement.

     "then.. i bet 10 bucks that they barely talked with each other" rhemian joined in, both gray and rhemi then looked at alex, waiting for him to join in.

     "hmm, i don't know.." alex said, not joining in on a bet that he isn't sure about.

     "they sure are taking their time for someone who hates each other, don't you think?" gray ask as he lays on the couch, hanging his head back. "i'm so bored" he added.

     "right? it's been like what, 5 - 6 hours now?" alex asked, laying next to gray and playing with his hair.

     "maybe the impossible happened and they're bonding right now"  rhemi said with his hands on his chin as a gesture of him thinking about it. "sounds too impossible though so maybe not" he then shut down his own theory.

     all three of them then share the same look after rhemi had said his theory. each thinking that 'it infact could happen' but then laughing it off when they think of their current hostile relationship to each other right now.

     "it's xaver we're talking about, that wouldn't happen unless miss investigator tries to make up with him or something" rhemi said while the other two nod their heads, agreeing to what rhemi said.

     as the three brothers were talking, xaver and julliette on the other hand is finally on their way home. although, xaver had to drop julliette at her house first which he did.

     by the time he was pulling into her driveway infront of her garage, a tall guy was waiting outside with his hands inside his pocket. the guy approaches the car when he sees it, making his way to the driver's window. he knocks on the window, motioning for xaver to roll it down.

     "what do you want?" xaver asked to the guy whose arm is now leaning against the car, his eyes scanning around the inside of the car.

     "where did you bring my sister and what did you do to her" he demanded to know, his eyes obviously glaring at xaver.

     julliette got out of the car and walked over to her brother in attempt to bring him inside, "come on matthew please" she begged him. as much as she hates xaver, she does not want her brother to create a scene at the middle of the night.

     "what would you do if i said i brought your sister out on a date huh?" xaver taunt, raising both his eyebrow for a second before sneering at him.

     matthew grabbed xaver by the collar through the window of his car, clearly agitated at the words coming from xaver's mouth. "i won't let you have your way with my sister" he declared.

     "ooo scary" xaver jeered at him, taking matthew's hands off his collars before getting out of the car. "take good care of your sister for me, will you?" he jibe.

     julliette sighed in frustration before giving up, "you know what, you'll continue your childish banters here and i'll rest inside" she said to her brother and left the two guys alone.

     "awh she left" xaver said before ignoring matthew's existence completely and going to the trunk of his car, taking out all julliette's shopping bag. he then placed them all infront of matthew.

     "all i did was took your sister out shopping because my mom couldn't, tone down your protectiveness for once" xaver clarified before getting into the car and driving off soon after.

     matthew who was still utterly upset went to smoke to relieve his stress over his enemy going out with his sister, it was cut short due to julliette telling him to bring the bags inside though.

     xaver who had arrived home, went inside and was greeted by the scene of his brothers all over the living room. not sure if they were trying to have a sleepover there or just tired and fell asleep from waiting. he just end up joining them even though he wanted to tell them all that had happened today.
