"You and Gracie can hangout inside you know?" Taylor, Cassidy's mom said rummaging through her vanity in her room while her daughter was sprawled out on her bed
"Yea I figured you wouldn't care but her family is like really worried about the pandemic" the teen explained not looking up from her phone. Taylor hummed in response glanced up smiling.

Cassidy ran out of the room to the door. Opening it to find Gracie wearing a mask. "Oh shit hold on" Cassidy said grabbing on from the key ring by the door. She opened the door wider signaling for Gracie to come in. "Do you want anything to eat or drink?" The blonde girl said leading them to the kitchen and opening the pantry before Gracie even had time to respond Cassidy interrupted "WAIT! I got cherries! Do you like cherries ?" She ran to the fridge grabbing the bag and a bottle of lemonade. Gracie laughed "yea I do thanks" she smiled playing with the rings on her hands.
After the two had settled on the balcony the conversation became more comfortable from talking about music to favorite movies, how Cassidy cried whenever she watched the finale of Gilmore girls and how Gracie's only seen a few episodes. "We have to watch it together sometime! My mom and I watch it all the time I grew up on it basically" Gracie agreed before getting asked another question "what's your favorite show- or movie?"
"Ummm twilight 100% have you seen it?" Gracie replied smiling
"Ummm yeah in like 8th grade my friends and I all read the book then watched the movie, it was ok"
"Only ok?! You have to watch it with me again I promise it will be better"
"It's a date!" Cassidy smiled in response before getting interrupted my her mom stepping outside "hey Cass I'm going to Joes, I might spend the night so try and stay at Lizzys or something- Oh hi Gracie it's nice to meet you" Taylor said not noticing Gracie at first
"Hi oh my gosh like I'm such a big fan of your work" Gracie said clearly trying to hold in her excitement of meeting someone she's looked up to for so long.
"Awe I'm glad you like my music! I love you songs your EP is going to be great!"
"Thank you" was all Gracie managed to get out
Taylor smiled going to hug her daughter "I'm serious about going to lizzys I'll text Blake if you want me to." The girls mother said raising her eyebrows
"Okok I will later, I'll let you know what she says" Cassidy says before her mom slips through the door
"Taylor swift has heard my music?!" Gracie almost yelled
"Yea I played it for her the other day, she loves "stay" too"
"That's like insane" Gracie smiled before going on her phone
"Are you texting someone about my mom knowing your music?" Cassidy softly laughed
"Only Audrey, my best friend and maybe Abby my cousin"
Cassidy laughed before finishing her text to her best friend Lizzy about staying over at her house tonight before shutting off her phone.
"My mom just texted me again about texting lizzy oh my god" Cassidy said laughing at her mother
Gracie laughed making eye contact with the blond girl sitting across from her. Sure they've made eye contact before but this was different it was... intense?
"Your eyes are really pretty" Cassidy complimented as if it was the most casual thing ever, leaving Gracie with butterflies "thanks" Gracie smiled looking down at her hands. Not sure if Cassidy was flirting and not sure if she wanted her to be or not. Gracie was bi, not many people knew that, maybe Cassidy could tell? Stuck in thought her phone buzzed

Gracie sighed "My dad said I have to go in 30 minutes"
"That's ok I should probably head to Lizzys soon" Cassidy said realizing it was almost 5pm
"Can I use your bathroom" Gracie blurted "yes of course, here I'll show you the one in my room" Cassidy said putting her mask on before going inside
"Just through there" the blonde said point to a door in the corner of her room. As Gracie used her bathroom Cassidy put pajama pants and a tee in a tote bag. Gracie came out of the bathroom thanking Cassidy before admiring her room. She looked over the walls landing on the bulletin board with photos and cards pinned on it but what Gracie zeroed in on was a mini lesbian flag. "Are you?" Cassidy said refuring to the flag that Gracie had clearly noticed
"I'm bi, I think, I don't know" Cassidy laughed and nodded "yea I get that" she said opening the door motioning for Gracie and her to exit the bedroom
"Thanks for having me" Gracie said
Cassidy smiled wanting to hug the other girl so bad "anytime let me know if you free again before you leave" and just like that Gracie left.
