Chapter 10:You are getting closer to my heart

Suprised by the sudden statement, Raven couldn't help but furrow her brows.

She asked in confusion,"What do you mean?"

Trying to cover up his sudden comment, Dylan quickly said,

"Ummmm, please don't be confused.I was just thinking of something else but ended up uttering nonsense.

Raven felt abit disappointed but smiled shook her head and smiled to cover up her sadness.

Dylan pointed to an empty seat opposite his as a sign of offering her a seat to join him on the meal.

She understood his gesture and so, she too at down.

Dylan continued,"Take this as my way of saying thank you for your hospitality."

He then swiftly and creatively served Raven.

Raven loved the aroma that was emanating from the food and due to her hunger, she ate the food hastily.

Dylan chuckled,"Slow down orelse you will choke Ravy."

Her mouth was too full to speak so she raised her right eye brow questioningly as she started at him.

He realized this reaction and quickly added on,"I thought that since we are friends, I could call you Ravy. Is that okay?"

Raven's thoughts drifted off at the mention of the word friend.

She felt a sudden surge go through her heart making her heart beat increase.

"Yep, it's okay." She briefly responded and smiled affirmatively.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang.......

Raven checked her watch and said,"I guess it's time."

Dylan was confused,"Time for what?"

Raven chuckled,"Oh, sorry for not explaining but every morning, I have to prepare breakfast for the orphans so, I think it's time."

She then started packing up the extra sandwiches around into the basket.

"Could you please help me pack up the sandwiches for them, please?"

And so, Dylan started to help her pack up.

The door bell kept on ringing and so, she went to open up the door.

Immediately she opened up the door, four kids hugged her,"Good morning mummy R"

She replied enthusiastically,"Good morning my babies. How are you? Please come in."

Immediately they entered the house, they paused in their steps as they started at the handsome man who was wearing a long sleeved white t shirt and khaki shorts who was taking off his apron

They were two girls and two boys about three years old each. They were identical quadruplets.

They immediately ran and his behind Raven.

Raven chuckled at their reaction,"Oh good Lord. No need to be scared my babies,let me introduce you to each other."

She scotted down and looked in each of their eyes,"My dear little ones, this is Uncle Dylan but you can call him Uncle D, okay??"

They all nodded affirmatively. So, she continued introducing the little ones to Dylan but paused abit as she looked up to face him from where she scotted and realized that he was smiling so as not to seem hostile to the kids.

His sexy widened revealing his white teeth that could brighten someone's day. She was awe-struck.

She was about to drool as she kept on starting at the guy till the two girls pulled her hands pleading to be introduced. She immediately regained her composure and continued.

She touched each of their cheeks as she introduced each.

"Okie. I'll start with the girls. This is Riele(the eldest girl). This is Reiya(the youngest girl). This is Caleb(the eldest boy). This is Caled (the youngest boy). The girls are the youngest and the boys are the eldest.

Raven then stood up smiling. She realized that Dylan was also smiling too. He then scotted down and waved to the kids too."Hi nice to meet you. Who wants breakfast??"

The quads all responded,"Meeeeeee..."

And so, off they went to pick up the basket containing snacks and tea.

They picked it up and thanked Dylan and Raven then stood in line. Each of them kissed Raven's dimpled cheeks before heading out.

It was such a gorgeous scenery that Dylan had to take a pic. The kids noticed this and pulled him to join them. They cuddled altogether to fit in the selfie with Dylan holding the camera since he was the tallest.

The pic was perfect. Dylan smiled like a god and was leaning cheek to cheek with Raven whose cute dimples were visible since she smiled widely as they cuddled with the cute quads.

Dylan immediately made it his wallpaper. He stared at Raven as she saw the kids out. He never knew that Raven could be so avuncular with kids.

As she returned, he asked her,"Isn't thea orphanage too far?

"Nope, it's actually at the corner of the street."

"Oh, okay."But he kept on starting at this beautiful kind hearted angel infront of him.

He asked,"Do you do this everyday?"

"Yep. It's actually fun. The joy you feel as you put a smile on their cute little faces. It's priceless."

"That's true."

His smile was now replaced by a smirk. There was an emotion that flickered in his eyes but he quickly blinked making it disappear.

Raven's eyes now looked sad,"You know, the people at the orphanage were the first kind people I met when I came to St. Louis. Most whites laughed at me when I asked for directions. They referred to me as a chimp from Africa. But I met the nuns of the orphanage who took me in till I got a side job In a certain café and then bought my own home. And that's how I met the quads so, since then, orphanage will forever be my home."

As she recalled this, a tear rolled down her right eye across her gorgeous face but before she could wipe it off, a warm hand was was already wiping the tear for her.

She stood still and stared at Dylan whose eyes were ever cold but his actions were heart warming.

His touch was very gentle which made her heart race. She closed her eyes to enjoy the moment.

Dylan now started at her flawless face as she closed her eyes. He felt a strong urge he couldn't control.

He gently pushed Raven's hair to the left side of her neck leaving the left side bare, revealing the cute sexy mole on her neck.

He tilted his head and slowly leaned forward. He then kissed the mole on the neck which made her feel a strong kind of heat passing through her entire body.

She bit her lower lip to suppress the moan that was about to escape her lips and kept her eyes tightly shut.

The two felt both their heart beats increase and they could both heart and feel each other's breaths since they were close to each other.

Their hearts raced and sexual emotions grew, how far was this gonna lead them..........
