Brooklyn Baby

Olivia's POV:

We finally arrive in the city, and park the car. Overwhelmed by the towering skyscrapers, I felt a mix of awe and excitement as the city's vibrant energy surrounded me. The bustling streets and kaleidoscope of lights ignited a sense of adventure. I've never seen the city, and cant wait to see what they have planned for today.

As I open my door, Steve is already there holding his hand to me to help me up.

Olivia: "so Cap, where to first?"

Nat: "food first? Please tell me it's food?"

Olivia: "oooo yes food. I'm starving!"

Steve: "Ok then" he says, holding his arm out for me, "food first". I wrap my arm around his, and he leads the way to a cute little bistro up the street.

Steve's POV:

We take a table outside and place our orders. Nat takes a seat next to Olivia, and Wanda next to me, putting me across the table from Liv. I watch the girls as they make small talk, and discuss what they want to do today. It's a beautiful day out, but chilly. I notice the goosebumps on her arms before she does, and start to slide off my jacket.

I stand up from my seat, and walk around to her, placing my jacket over her shoulders. She gives me a confused look, "what's this for?"

Steve: "you looked cold so.." I give her a friendly smile before I walk back to my seat. When I sit back down, I see Nat smirking at me. I just roll my eyes at her, and she continues to ask liv questions.

Nat: "So, Liv, you've never been to the city before this?"

Olivia: "no actually, I haven't..."

Wanda: "There's so much to do here. Is there anything special you want to see?"

Nat: "hey, you know, the boys are from Brooklyn...Steve you should take her there today. Show her where you guys grew up?"

Steve: "actually, that's what I was going to ask Olivia if she wanted to do today." The look Nat gives me confuses me, what does she think is happening here?

Olivia: "oh my god that's right! Steve I would love to do that!"

We finish eating, and leave the bistro. I give the car keys to Nat, and let them know we are taking the subway.

Wanda: "are you sure guys?"

Nat: "subway will be faster. Plus it's not like he's Captain America or anything...pretty sure he can handle it if something goes wrong, Wanda"

Olivia: "guys we will be fine...I'm sure I can protect Steve if anything happens." she quips, giving me wink.

We make a plan to meet back up later, and I walk her down to the subway station. We board the subway, but it's packed with people, leaving only standing room. I grab her hand and usher her to an open spot near the back, against the wall. She puts her back to me, watching the people around us.

People move on and off the subway at a fast pace at every stop. A man goes to stand not realizing how close he was to her. As he stands, he knocks into her, forcing her to fall backwards into me. I wrap my arm around her to hold her steady. The smell of her hair invades my senses. I close my eyes and all I can focus on is how good she smells...like....cherry blossoms and...peaches?

No, Steve.... What are you doing? Stop....thats his girl....you can't.

I'm brought back by a snapping sound. I open my eyes and find Olivia staring at me.

Olivia: "hey...old man...you taking a nap on me here?" She laughs. "I think you said this was our stop."

I look around and realize we have reached our destination.
