A week went by and Wooyoung still hadn't opened my message. But, I needed to talk to him, no matter what. If I didn't, I'd only regret it in the future. I was never going to him after this semester anyways, so what was the harm of having fun while I could?
All I really wanted was to hang out with him in the library again. And if we were both down, we could open the discussion of our hookup again. Maybe there really was a "next time" like Wooyoung said.
So, I took my chances and walked straight over to him in class.
"Hey Seo-yun," he said, raising his fist up.
"Hey, Wooyoung," I said, returning the gesture. After weeks of barely acknowledging each other, all I had to do was approach him for things to go back to normal? He wasn't phased at all? A part of me was bothered by that. It was so hard for me to ignore him, and he didn't even care?
I sat back as Wooyoung continued talking to our other classmates. I didn't really know what to say in this situation. Were things really fine between us?
"How have you been?" I asked once their conversation died down.
"I've been good. How about you?"
"Fine, I guess. I have a splinter in my finger though. Look," I said, as I raised my finger to his face. He grabbed it to take a look, and he showed me his palm afterwards.
"I have one too right now, actually," he replied. What a coincidence.
"Y'know, I can't believe you ignored me last week," I said.
"Oh, you're one to talk. Every time I said hi to you, you gave me the nastiest look." He laughed.
"What? I have no idea what you're talking about." I giggled. What the fuck was going on? Why did it feel so natural for us to get back into things?
"Yeah, sure. You're just as moody as ever."
"Well, I'm in a good mood today, so, here we are." I smiled.
I tried to think of more things to say, and I noticed the keychain that was hanging on his backpack.
"Oh, that's cute," I complimented while pointing at it.
"Thanks. Do you know the character?"
"Yeah, of course I do." It was true. I knew the character. I never said I watched the show though.
"Actually, I have another super cool keychain," he mumbled as he started rummaging through his bag.
"See," he said as he held it up to my face. I didn't recognize the character, but what I did recognize was a car key.
"No way, you got a car over the summer?"
"Yup. So, where do you wanna go? I'll take you anywhere."
I felt my cheeks heat up. Just last week we were ignoring each other, and now I was about to get into a car with him?
"I'll go wherever you want," I replied.
"Do you need a ride home?" he asked.
"Yes," I lied.
After that, he nodded and turned back around.
Once class was over, I had to make sure he was being serious about his offer. He reaffirmed that he was, and I followed him to the elevator.
"I parked somewhere secret, so we have to walk a bit. Is that okay?"
I nodded my head. Truthfully though, my feet were killing me since I was breaking in a new pair of shoes. I couldn't complain though. I was about to sit in Jung Wooyoung's car.
