The first thing that Kay heard when she started to regain consciousness was, "Thank Leaia you're awake!"

She opened her eyes. A girl was leaning over her. She had dark skin, like hers but a bit darker, short curly black hair, and bronze eyes. The most peculiar thing about her was her....wings.

Kay sat up. "Where am I?"

The girl smiled. "Flairya, also known as the Fairen Province. But if you want a broader version, you're in Velvimr."

"Velvimr....what happened last night? And how am I here?!"

The girl chuckled. "My friend Lucas was the werewolf that chased you, I had to follow him to stop him and save you!"

"But there's a barrier, isn't there?" Kay asked, confused.

"OH, that old thing?" She laughed. "Holes started to appear in it ages ago."

"And we never knew?" Kay was outraged. They were sneaking into our village through holes but we couldn't come here? "That breaks our deal!"

She shrugged. "Our leader didn't think so." She held out her hand. "Silly me, I forgot to introduce myself: I'm Ilkesi Lysen, a level 2 fairy caster."

"A level 2 what?" Kay raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"Fairy-caster. I'm a fairy, and I am a magic caster. Well, not a fully fledged one, I'm still a level 2. But I can levitate some stuff." Her eyes glowed, and a vase behind her glowed the same color and started to levitate.

"That's impressive, I guess?" Kay shrugged.

"Oh, I forgot! You're from the human world, you're not used to this. Don't worry, you'll learn the Velvimr life sooner or later." She got up to arrange some books.

"Holdup, get used to it? Take me home!"

"Take you home?" Ilkesi looked at her and raised an eyebrow. "This is your home, you're a velai."

Kay just looked at her and raised her eyebrows. "Me? A velai?" She laughed. "No, no I'm not. I've lived in the human world since I was a baby."

"The fact that you know what I'm saying proves that you're a velai." She said simply.

"What-But you're speaking English!"

"I stopped speaking English after like, the second sentence. You, however, are replying to me in English. That's why you didn't notice I was speaking Flaren, the Fairy language. We're one of the groups that have a special language."

"Flaren?" I muttered to myself, then I started to focus more on Ilkesi's mouth as she was speaking. I had been an excellent mouth reader back in the village. What she was saying in English, she was saying a bunch of rubbish when her lips moved. She was right. She's speaking an entirely different language, but it's coming to me in English.

"Believe me now? Only fairies understand Flaren. Fairies are velai. You are a velai. But..." She hesitates. "You're not a fairy."

"But you just said..."

"Fairies hear the language purely, it doesn't come to them in English, like what is going on with you. It doesn't work like that for other beings as well. They can't understand Flaren, at all. But one thing for sure, I've said it before: only Fairies understand Flaren, and Fairies are velai. You understand Flaren. You're a velai." The joking demeanor was gone, and Ilkesi was looking at me in all seriousness.

"But...what am I?" Kay asked.

"I don't know," Ilkesi admitted. "You're not like anyone I've seen."

Suddenly a woman walked into the room. She scanned the room and her eyes landed on Kay.

"Kesi....who is this girl and why does she look like Zelli?"
