Y/N's POV
"How was your trip, sweetie?" asked my mom as we had dinner with the family.
A week had passed, and now I'm back home. It was a great experience to go traveling with Kazuha and Miss Jennifer.
"It was amazing. You know how I've always wanted to travel with Kazuha," I replied enthusiastically.
As I talked about my trip during dinner, everyone got really interested. I shared funny and heartwarming stories, and even showed a cool souvenir I brought back. The dinner turned into a special time where we all connected through the memories I brought home, making it more than just a regular family meal.
"You seem close with Jihyo's daughter now. Is there anything going on between the two of you?" my mom asked curiously. I was taken aback by her question and thought about how to respond.
"Oh, unnie and I are just good friends. We had an awesome time exploring new places together, but it's nothing more than that," I explained, feeling nervous about lying to them.
"What? Aww, I was expecting something more," my brother whined and fake cried, to which my dad nudged him off.
I looked towards my mom and noticed the seriousness in her face. "Uh-oh, am I in trouble, or is there something going on?"
"Is there something you want to share or talk about with me, Mom?" I asked curiously.
She cleared her throat, "Actually, we do have something to discuss with you, and now is the right time."
"Oh, that sounds serious." I giggled, trying to light up the intense atmosphere.
"Y/N, focus." said my dad.
"Right, I'm all ears."
My mom sighed and smiled a little "Remember when your dad and I went on a business trip? Actually we were discussing something..."
-time skips-
"What?!" Of course, Kazuha would react this way. I mean, I was too. "So what are you going to do?" she continued.
I sighed loudly and looked up at the sky, "I don't know, Zuzu. This feels so rushed, I can't even imagine it happening."
Being the good friend she is, Kazuha patted my back to calm me down. "Hey, you like her, don't you?"
"I do... but aren't I still too young for this?"
"Well, I don't see a problem with that, so stop pouting and let's go to our all-time favorite ice cream shop."
With a reluctant smile, I agreed, realizing that Kazuha had a point. As we strolled to our favorite ice cream shop, the weight of the unexpected revelation began to lift. Amidst the comforting aroma of freshly baked waffle cones, Kazuha nudged me playfully.
"Come on, Y/N, love knows no age. Besides, we can always figure things out as we go. Who knows, this might be the beginning of a beautiful story!"
Her words sparked a glimmer of hope, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for a friend like Kazuha who could turn even the most confusing moments into sweet adventures. As we savored our ice cream, the worries of the future faded away, leaving room for the excitement of the unknown journey ahead.
The next day at school, Kazuha and I felt a strange vibe in the air. As we took our seats, I noticed a subtle exchange of glances among our classmates, and the whispers and curious stares were impossible to ignore.
Kazuha, always perceptive, leaned in and whispered, "Looks like something's up. Did we miss a memo or something?"
Suddenly, a gasp went through the room as someone showed a picture on their phone. It was a photo of me and Miss Jennifer kissing under the Eiffel Tower from our trip. The private moment was now public, and it seemed like everyone had seen it, turning our normal school day into a swirl of unexpected attention and questions.
I've been hearing a lot of judgments and inappropriate comments from my classmates about this matter, and suddenly, I feel like I'm 14 years old all over again.
However, since that was 6 years ago today, I could still hold onto their words without breaking down. But hearing them talk about Miss Jen makes my blood boil, so without breaking any of their bones, I walked out of the classroom.
I knew I had to face the consequences once people found out about this. But what can I say? They were all dying to be with Miss Jennifer as well.
"Maybe I should reconsider my decision now. This is it!"
Without wasting any more time, I rushed towards Yunjin's office. As I got in, I could see her gaze was on her phone.
"Yes, unnie." I simply said.
