Y/N's POV
Kazuha and I were beyond thrilled when the day of our long-awaited journey finally arrived. We rose before the sun had a chance to warm the skies over Seoul. All the students from our batch have gathered at the campus entrance, eagerly waiting for the bus that will take us to the airport.
"Today's the day!" Kazuha exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Yeah, it's kind of hard to believe," I replied, still trying to process the moment.
For some reason, a small wave of sadness washed over me. I scanned the carpark, but there was no sign of her. Not even a glimpse of her car. 'Come on, Y/N, snap out of it,' I told myself, determined to shake off the melancholy.
Just then, a familiar voice broke through my thoughts. "Alright, students, gather your things and head to the bus. And please don't leave your trash behind," the voice said, snapping me back to reality.
A grin crept across my face. "Well, the only trash here is definitely me," I joked, earning a chuckle from Kazuha.
"Oh wow, you're speaking facts." Kazuha joked back which caused the both of us to burst out laughing.
Ms. Son cleared her throat before instructing, "Alright, ladies, hop on. Y/N, be sure all your classmates are here."
"Yes, ma'am" I saluted playfully, earning a chuckle from her.
With a grin, I stepped onto the bus, efficiently taking attendance of my classmates. Once I confirmed everyone was present, I promptly informed Ms. Son to prevent any delays on our way to the airport.
-time skips-
As we made our way to the airport to catch our flights, a growing sense of panic gripped me. I frantically searched my backpack for my passport, but it seemed to have vanished.
Suddenly, a voice, so familiar yet unexpected, cut through the chaos. "Looking for this?" The words hung in the air, and I snapped my head up to see her standing there.
Our eyes met, and in that moment, a rush of emotions washed over me. Relief, surprise, and a touch of something else, all mingling in that fleeting gaze.
"Unni-, no, I mean Miss Jen.. you're here?" I asked, my confusion evident.
She flashed a wide grin and replied, "Surprise..?"
"Miss Jennifer? Are you coming with us?" Kazuha inquired, spotting us.
"Indeed, I'm here to assist you as well. Oh, and Y/N, here's your passport," Miss Jen informed, handing me the very item I had been searching for.
"Clumsy as always," Kazuha teased with a chuckle, giving my head a playful pat.
As we settled into our current situation earlier, the three of us then headed to the check-in counter, where everyone was, to get our airplane tickets.
With Miss Jen here with us, the atmosphere shifted. There was a sense of relief and excitement. I hate to admit it, but I'm genuinely happy that she's assisting us. It's funny how, at first, I thought this trip would be a perfect opportunity to avoid her, but as soon as I realized she wasn't around on campus, I felt genuinely upset.
While waiting for our turns to get our tickets, I can't help but to gaze at Yunjin , 'She looks beautiful as ever.'
Here I found myself lost in my thoughts, reflecting on me and Kazuha's conversation before, "Heck, no way I'm in love with her,"
"It's just a silly crush. Yeah, that's it."
"Tsk, 'silly crush'. Yeap, that's what you call it now but trust me Y/N, sooner or later..."
My eyes remained fixed on Yunjin, still lost in thought. Then, like a sudden spark, it hit me-
I am indeed in love with her.It was a revelation that took me by surprise. How could I not have noticed these feelings sooner? The warmth in her smile, the way her presence made everything feel right, it was all so clear now.
