I woke up and realized that she's no longer by my side so I find my spectacles with my hand. But as I grope for it, I heard it dropped on the floor. What a nightmare of seeing the dark floor keeping my black thin-rimmed glasses invisible. Afraid of might stepping on it, I stayed on the bed as I struggle finding and reaching for my glasses on the seemed to be mere darkness. Eventually, I felt uneasy when I couldn't find it.
"I think I found it." A cozy voice said as I barely saw someone's approaching. Due of my stupid reflex, I squinted my eyes to recognize her, saying while stuttering, "I-is it you?". Of course, dummy, it's her. There's only the two of you here. I fixed myself while sitting and tried to act fool. Then I felt her sat beside me that I got a little nervous. So, I just remained silent and waited until she gives me my spectacles.
"U-uhm... by the way, you may hand it now... it's blurry and I'm starting to feel dizzy..." I utter after some minutes of waiting. At my surprise, she gently put my glasses on this embarrassing ruddy face and I felt everything goes in slow motion that I couldn't make a move and just let her continue.
As she put me those lenses, my heartbeat goes faster and faster as I gradually see her seraphic face clearer and clearer. Her tranquil gaze slowly became distinguishable while I looked straight into her eyes, forcing to be still as she fixed it. Meanwhile, my brain can't really discern what just happened for It's the first time someone did that for me and it was so unusual.
"Good morning!" she greeted and smiled brightly which blew away all my morning stress. Flustered, I replied, "G-good morning..." sound my stuttering voice. "You're cute, you made me stare at you for a while..." she stated and I can't help it but to blush so I looked away like it's nothing of my care.
"Let's have breakfast together!" She gladly invited that made my dominating brow raised. "You cooked?" I asked as I face her. "Of course! Now get up, we'll eat..." she stated smiling as she goes out of our bedroom. Now that's interesting. I get up and followed her downstairs.
As I've reached the dining room, I found her sitting already while presenting the prepared food on the dining table. It looks good, indeed. I gave her a complimentary gaze and spoke, "Hmmm, it looks delicious." I said getting her smiled. I sat in front of her and took a taste of it.
Oh god, forgive me, it tastes horrible. Having her eyes on me, I strained myself on smiling as I hardly swallow the food. She smiled warmly and said, "How does it taste?" I don't want to offend her or something so I have taken some minutes just on thinking for some answer.
"M-maybe I should teach you how to cook sometime..." I said as the cold sweats start racing on my forehead. I'm feeling nervous but her reaction made me surprised. She didn't get angry. Instead, she's happy about what I said that she even agreed.
I couldn't make myself eat the food so I just talked to her until she excused herself and headed to the restroom. Carrying my plate with me, I immediately ran outside and put my food somewhere on the edges thinking that maybe there's some stray animals would eat it. I then returned to my seat as if I'm finished eating.
She's not back yet so I looked outside through the window where I put the food. Then, I felt relieved when I saw a white cat came and ate it. See, at least someone ate the food she cooked, hehe. Later, another cat arrived and ate too. That's when I realized there's a lot of stray cats here.
I heard someone moved the chair in front of me so I turned my attention to her. "I don't wanna eat anymore..." she sounded out of languishment. I guess it's because of her own food so I restrained myself on laughing. She's like a child, how cute...
"But there's a lot remaining in the pot..." she added that got me amused. My empty plate got her attention and so she spoke, "Hmm... you ate yours. What if you'll eat all the remaining food in there too?" She smiled and offered me more. "Come on, you need to eat more to become healthier." She said as she approached closer and about to feed me. Oh, my nightmare, don't...
