Five years have passed and I already took over the company that my parents have built in years. That company was a real successful one among others in our city because of the excellence of my parents. And it flourished even more every season as I was the CEO for the long time from now.
In five years, many things happened and despite of those, I never forgot Angel. And how she caused me to become the person I am now. I just still admire her and it never changed. It's just sad that we still haven't reunited yet. I really missed her...
I was dealing with an appointment setter in the front office of a huge and popular company for some investment matters. And she's calling the CEO of the company in phone to start our appointment right away.
"Thank you, Sir. Please wait for our attendant to accompany you to the office of Ms. Sorquillo, our CEO." She said and I thanked her too. I'm about to handle the papers she gave when I heard someone... shouting?
"Excuse me! Please, make way! I got an emergency!" A man's voice rendered over the corridor. I heard some noises from the people so I turned my attention to him. And before I knew it, the man was running towards me swiftly and bumped me hard to the floor.
He seemed to be in hurry that he just apologized immediately and continued running towards the exit while I got my eyeglasses flying off to somewhere.
I couldn't see anything. The atmosphere is a little crowded so I started feeling nervous while I searched for it. I almost wiped the whole area of the floor on my periphery as I grope and by that, I felt uneasy since I couldn't find it.
"I think I found it." A familiar, cozy voice said as I barely saw someone's approaching. "Thank you, Miss." I responded then I remained silent and waited until she gives me my spectacles.
"Sorry, Miss? But may I have it back now? It's blurry and I'm starting to feel dizzy..." I stated after some minutes of waiting. Then, she got me surprised by a familiar action as she gently put those eyeglasses on my face and I felt everything goes in slow motion. It feels too nostalgic that I couldn't make a move and just let her continue.
As she put me those lenses, my heartbeat goes faster and faster as I gradually see her angelic face clearer and clearer. Her tranquil gaze slowly became distinguishable while I looked straight into her eyes, forcing to be still as she fixed it. Now, my brain can fully recall the moment. I just can't believe this. "Angel?"
She started crying while showing a sweetest smile. "Finally," she whispered as she hugged me so tight. I still can't believe this, I was speechless and petrified. I didn't realize the tears began to escape from my eyes as I hugged her back. Is this for real? I want to lost it and shout of happiness but I must keep things professional for now.
She released me from her embrace and started wiping her tears so I wiped mine off as well. I can't help but to see the changes in her and it's undeniable that she's way more beautiful than before. "My name's Shenah Sorquillo, it's great to see you again."
I'm glad that we don't have to hide our identities anymore. I smiled as I spoke, "I'm Kairo Khan." I said as I gave a hand. We shook hands as a formal introduction. And by the way, her hand is... still so soft.
